T.G.I.F. with Matt Dawgs: #444

Good day to you all and welcome to We Want Insanity. I am your host for today, Matt Dawgs and this is my column. Today is the end of the work week and the time to look back at all the goings-on over the past seven days as I wrap it up with a bow and spout it out bit by bit. Buckle up. Enjoy the ride.

IMPORTANT MATT NOTE:: I am hoping that you readers have taken the time to lend a hand and donated to the JAIDAN STRONG cause for me. I’d really appreciate it if you did; as little as $5 can go a long way. If not, it isn’t a big deal but please at least SHARE THE LINK. I get that finances can be tough for some but taking the time to share a link via your social media doesn’t cost a dime. I’d appreciate it greatly as one of your friends or family members may be able to help out. Thanks.

BONUS MATT NOTE: Happy to be back everyone from a great vacation. For those of you lucky enough to follow me on social media (sorry folks, don’t think I am accepting anyone else I don’t really interact with) then you viewed the photos and videos of my trip and saw how awesome it was. Thanks to James Bullock for filling in as he was stellar as usual. Busy week for the wrestling world with a ton of news to let’s jump right in.

MATT'S BEEN DRANKIN' NOTE: James Guttman is the Dad of Hi Blog! I'm Dad.

WWE NEWS AND NOTES:

- R.I.P. to Nick “Big Bully” Busick as he passed away at age 63 after a long battle with cancer. He was diagnosed back in 2016 when they found cancer in both his brain and esophagus. He battled it but it came back in 2018 when it was found in his spinal fluid. He had been in hospice care for several weeks.

- Drizzling sh*ts. That is the best way I can describe the “Backlash” PPV event that took place on Sunday. With the exception of Seth Rollins vs. The Miz which may have been Miz’s best match of his career, the remainder of the show was the drizzling sh*ts. No redeeming qualities about the show at all. It completely sucked.

- The main event of Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe, which in-ring was fine, saw legitimately HALF of the audience walk out to get home mid-match. That is unheard of for a WWE show.

- Nia Jax’s speech following her win over Alexa Bliss was terribly forced and contrived. Between the script for it and her delivery of it was so awful. Not to mention that she made the promo following an awful match with Bliss.

- The Smackdown title match finish was groan worthy considering they just gave us a similar finish the week before with the double count out. I get that it is leading to some sort of stipulation like a last man standing or falls count anywhere or submission match but multiple finishes like this in this feud is KILLING IT.

- The WWE is now running with the booking idea that Roman Reigns is a guy being screwed over by management regarding his opportunities. I have no idea who the genius is that came up with this idea but he or she needs to be fired for it like yesterday. It is easily one of the worst creative decisions that have come around in recent memory for WWE to push a guy that fans HATE as a guy being screwed by management despite being given opportunity after opportunity after opportunity. Worse is, that they are now programming him against Jinder Mahal which isn’t going to help this angle at all and is only going to make fans care even less about Reigns.

- Elias gets monster pops from the crowd yet they insist on keeping him heel and trying to heel the crowd. Why is this? Why does WWE never go with the crowd and make the switches when they are timely? It isn’t as if Elias is doing anything meaningful as a heel? It took them forever and a day to run with Braun as a babyface. They still haven’t turned Roman yet. WTF?

- “We want Enzo” during Cass’ match against Bryan at the PPV. WWE could NOT have been happy with that one.

- WWE is also NOT happy with Cass in general as last week on Smackdown when he brought out “Daniel Bryan” (The midget posing as Bryan) he was supposed to give him a big boot and be done with it. Cass protested saying he thought it would get more heat if after the boot; he put a beating on him. He was shot down by creative to he took it straight to Vince McMahon. McMahon also shot it down. Cass took it upon himself to do it anyway and received a verbal tongue lashing backstage following the angle. He then jobbed to Bryan at the PPV and was kept off Smackdown completely this week.

- Carmella beat Charlotte CLEAN as a whistle at the PPV. So to clear this up, Charlotte ended Asuka’s undefeated streak at Mania then lost the title the same week and then lost clean to the person who beat her for the title. So both Asuka and Charlotte are both less over now than they were heading into Mania.

- WWE is also teasing a Tag Team Money in the Bank match taking place at the MITB PPV. It has not been finalized but has been floated around.

- As of right now, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Miz and Rusev are in the Men’s MITB match with 4 more expected to be added. On the women’s side we have Ember Moon from RAW and Charlotte from Smackdown with 6 more expected to be added.

- Kurt Angle opened RAW by noting that he has been a part of the WWE family for 20 years now. WOW. That figure would be so amazing if it was remotely true, except it isn’t. It’s not even close to being true. Angle has had a total of 8 YEARS in WWE. EIGHT. Had he been there for 18 years and said 20, ok, I can go with that. EIGHT F*CKING YEARS IN WWE. What the hell is wrong with these writers?

- So to be clear, Braun Strowman as a kid was a f*cking maniac bully who almost killed a bunch of kids in a tree house by knocking it down while they were in it and not only does he get cheered but WWE is ok with it yet later on in the show reflect on how Nia Jax is against bullying?

- By the way, why is Angle still kept on payroll from a storyline perspective? It isn’t as if there aren’t a slew of WWE Legends and Hall of Famers that can take his place? Why does Stephanie McMahon and Triple H keep him in the role despite hating him and despite what happened at Mania with Ronda Rousey?

- The fact that just 3 weeks after coming up to the main roster, No Way Jose did a clean job to Baron Corbin in a match that had both Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews on his team solidifies what I said a few weeks ago in that Jose is slated to be a “fun guy” for kids on the roster but he is nothing more than a rehash of Adam Rose.

- Sasha Banks is the most over female on the WWE not named Ronda Rousey. Even though she isn’t pushed in a main event level slot, she gets the loudest pops of any female on the roster week in and week out. She also delivers in the ring.

- Why does Bayley keep saving Sasha Banks and vice versa? Why are they still feuding without having a one on one match? Who is the heel and who is the face? I am so goddamn confused.

- What the f*ck was that Bobby Lashley sit down interview about? Holy Christ was that awful or what? Wow. I completely didn’t get the point of it. How hard is it to just say he is a bad ass and leave it at that? Instead they go into the fact that he grew up with sisters who were bullies to him? WTF? It’s like WWE creative saw how TNA Impact made him a cool bad ass heel and said “Let’s do the opposite of that!!”

- So Sami Zayn slapped Kevin Owens at the PPV yet they are still friends on RAW? Did WWE forget how to do break up angles?

- When did Mojo Rawley get good in the ring? Or was it that Seth Rollins is so good that he made Mojo better? If Mojo could work like that every week, WWE might be onto something. I mean, he is better than Big Cass.

- Pay attention. Always pay attention. In the Matt Hardy/Bray Wyatt vs. Curtis Axel/Bo Dallas match, Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt never worked together in the ring. They didn’t touch once.

- Holy sh*t did the crowd HATE Reigns on Monday or what? Solid main event and I wish WWE would pull the trigger on Balor already. These start/stop pushes are sickening. He has something and they don’t go ahead with it.

- Oh, for those keeping score, we have not seen “The Demon” Balor since October.

- Paige is NOT a good GM on Smackdown. I get what they are trying to go with and they obviously want to keep her because she is young, she is hot, she can talk and she looks different than all of the other females. But she is just not good in an authority figure role. She should be a female valet for a male wrestler or she should become a trainer or just use her on Total Divas and have her story be about her healing and training for her comeback.

- SAnitY is coming soon to Smackdown and Andrade “Cien” Almas is coming next week in London.

- Please, PLEASE don’t be going with a Daniel Bryan losing streak gimmick. Losing to Rusev clean and the focusing on Bryan being downtrodden following the loss while the announcers claiming he is doing too much too fast and isn’t 100% is not the way to go. Why can’t just give in and push the man? We have been down this road before and he is going to get over no matter how much you beat him down. Plus, his contract still expires on September 1st and he will absolutely be out the door if he is buried between now and then. Yes, I get the fact that they don’t want him in the MITB match for obvious reasons because he should honestly never be in a ladder match again in his career. But if that is the case, why not have Cass or Miz cost him the match or don’t even book him in a qualifier in the first place?

- WWE is on their annual post Mania European Tour right now with television next week both taking place from the O2 Arena in London. The tour ends on May 19th in Paris France with RAW on May 21st from Albany NY. Essentially none of the talent is going to get to go home unless they live in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut area because they will land on Saturday and have to be back by Monday morning. So it is likely all of them will spend Sunday in a hotel in New York or Albany.

- Ronda Rousey missed RAW this week as she was in Fiji filming something for “Shark Week” on the Discovery Channel.

- Brock Lesnar is NOT scheduled to compete at the “Money in the Bank” PPV on June 17th and will in fact SURPASS C.M. Punk’s 434 day title reign as Money in the Bank would mark his 441st day as champion. He will likely hold the title until Summer Slam becoming the longest reigning champion of the modern era, a record that will likely NOT be broken by anyone in the WWE today.

- Jason Jordan has been medically cleared to return and it is only a matter of when WWE chooses to put him back on television.

- DOWN GOES CHARLOTTE FLAIR. She apparently ruptured one of her breast implants several months ago as she went into Mania with it damaged. It will require surgery to fix and replace it. No timetable for her surgery however as she still traveled to the WWE European Tour and is wrestling on it. She will likely get the surgery in June as she has pulled out of a comic con that WWE had booked her on for June 22nd. That means that she will likely work through the injury until the Money In The Bank PPV on June 17th. Her plan is to return before Summerslam. Amazingly enough, Charlotte did in fact do a photoshoot for ESPN Magazine’s “Body Issue” which features athletes both male and female posing in the nude and ESPN shot around it.

- Best of luck to Xavier Woods as he got his tongue busted by a European uppercut from Cesaro this week causing him to pierce 3 holes in his tongue. OUCH.

- WWE has confirmed that both Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir have reported to the WWE Performance Center full time. So we are now full speed ahead with all of Ronda Rousey’s Four Horsewomen in training and with the promotion.

- Chris Jericho revealed on his podcast this week in an interview with Daniel Bryan that was recorded at the “Greatest Royal Rumble” that he had agreed to be Shane McMahon’s replacement at Wrestlemania this year teaming with Bryan against Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens if Shane McMahon was unable to participate. If you get a chance, listen to the interview was Bryan goes into explicit detail about the steps he took to be medically cleared to return and it is a fascinating story. He also confirmed that had WWE not cleared him, he would have left WWE when his contract expired on September 1st and his plan was to go New Japan, Ring of Honor and CMLL full time between the three companies.

- Kevin Owens revealed that he has signed a new 5-year deal to stay in the WWE. He plans on finishing his career with WWE.

- Amazingly enough, Neville may be retired from professional wrestling as far as it looks. He has moved from Florida back to the U.K. and is living life according to his personal Facebook page. He has no plans to return to WWE and unless the release him, he isn’t wrestling elsewhere so he will just stay away until WWE lets him go. As far as I know, his contract has been frozen and he is NOT being paid his downside guarantee so unless he comes back, his contract and however many years he has left on it is stuck until he comes back.

- With WWE returning to Royal Albert Hall in the U.K. next month, Triple H revealed that he is going to make an announcement about the U.K. Brand and eventual launch.

- Props to Kassius Ohno as he made the finals of the Progress Tournament in London losing to Zack Sabre Jr. The tournament was 3 days long. Tyler Bate was pulled by WWE in the tournament in the first round due to suffering a shoulder injury. He isn’t severely injured but WWE didn’t want him to injure it worse so pulled him for a precautionary measure.

- Tino Sabbatelli is going to miss the next 6 – 9 months following a pectoral tear. This is his 2nd major career injury that will shelve him for a while. At age 34 and him not being in the upper tier of workers, his time may be running out. He has a good look and is a terrific athlete but he is not picking up the workrate portion of it.

- Keith Lee should be in NXT before the end of summer. He doesn’t have many independent dates left to fulfill but he has cleared his medicals and is wrapping everything up.

- Also apparently signed to WWE is Toni Storm. She is finishing up her commitments and will begin in the next several weeks at the Performance Center.

- Congrats to Ray Rowe and Sarah Logan as they have set a date for their wedding which will take place on December 21st.

- WWE announced their quarterly earnings last week and the stock closed at $42.59 per share which was an all-time record for the company. Say what you want about creative but business is booming.

- WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is close to finalizing a deal to return to WWE in an ambassador capacity.

- No truth to the rumor as of yet but there are strong rumblings that John Cena is currently an item with Smackdown Women’s Champion Carmella. No concrete evidence has been provided but some fans have been piecing things together and the two have been spotted together out in Florida.

- E! presents “Total Mella”???

- Nikki Bella revealed on her You Tube Channel that she is currently living with her sister Brie and Daniel Bryan in Phoenix. This will likely be included in the next season of Total Bellas or Total Divas which has been renewed for 2 more seasons.

- It should be interested but John Cena and The Bellas are set to join Stephanie McMahon at the NBC Universal television up fronts for the fall season on Monday.

- WWE aired a new “Table for 3” episode with Shane McMahon, A.J. Styles and Kurt Angle. In the special, TNA footage was used for the show. Not only was footage used from TNA of an A.J. vs. Angle match but a disclaimer message aired noting that you could watch all A.J. and Angle matches from TNA if you download the Global Wrestling Network app. Mind you, they actively promoted TNA on their Network and told you that you could purchase the app yet Jeff Jarrett apparently retired from wrestling in 2001 and didn’t come back until his WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2018.

- Congrats to Glen “Kane” Jacobs as he won his mayoral election in Tennessee and is now the mayor of Knox County. I don’t expect him to return to WWE anytime soon and if he does, it will be for cameo appearances moving forward.

- WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler revealed that following his recent stroke last month, his doctors told him following a CAT scan that he does in fact has some brain damage in his brain. Thankfully it isn’t affecting any of his motor skills or speech. Sadly another stroke down the road could be devastating to him.

- Also, let’s see where WWE Hall of Famer Lita is featured moving forward in the company as she publicly criticized WWE over the show in Saudi Arabia noting the show was a “conflict of interest” since they want to push women to the forefront and she slammed WWE by not being honest about it. She said that if they want to make money then that’s fine but they should note that instead of claiming that it was a step to help the culture move forward which it obviously wasn’t. OUCH.

- Happy Birthday to William Regal as he turned 50 yesterday.

- Despite Orlando bidding for Wrestlemania in the immediate future, it has been revealed that Tampa Florida is also bidding for some dates for Mania as well as dates for the Royal Rumble.

- The WWE Network has added the first 52 episodes of Sunday Night Heat to the channel dating from debut show on August 2nd 1998 through July 25th 1999.

- The Network has also filmed their own version of “Carpool Karaoke” using the New Day, Alexa Bliss & Braun Strowman, Natalya, Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Nia Jax.

- Owen Hart would have turned 53 years old on Monday. So sad.

- Official Teaser for MIZ & MRS.

- Fingers crossed for Jazzy Gabert as she was signed by WWE following the Mae Young Classic but the offer was rescinded due to the WWE physical revealing that she had herniated discs in her back which required surgery. She started a “Go Fund Me” to get the money for surgery which she successfully had and after a few months of rest and rehab, she made her return this past weekend in Germany. She has hope that WWE will reevaluate her and sign her to a deal again.

Ring of Honor / New Japan / Lucha Underground / Independent / International News and Notes:

- At New Japans Dontaku show on May 4th, Kazuchika Okada broke the record for consecutive title defenses by beating the man he was tied with for the record, Hiroshi Tanahashi in yet another classic

- New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that the main event of the Dominion show (Their version of Summer Slam) will be Kazuchika Okada defending the IWGP title against Kenny Omega in a 2 out of 3 falls match. In their three matches, they have split wins with one draw so this will be the official rubber match and should be outstanding.

- Also on the show is the returning Chris Jericho. Jericho returned at New Japan Dontaku and he attacked Tetsuya Naito as Naito exited from his match in an angle for the ages. He will now challenge him for the Intercontinental Title at Dominion.

- P.S. Jericho now has new merch. He dropped a “Lista Ingobernables de Jericho” shirt. Amazing this man is. The shirt is already being sold on Hot Topic.

- Rey Mysterio will also be working the show to make up for the date he missed with his torn tricep. No opponent has been named as of yet but the assumption is that it will either be Jushin “Thunder” Liger or Marty Scurll. If Scurll, you would imagine that the winner will be facing Will Ospreay for the Jr. Heavyweight Championship at some point.

- The Young Bucks are also getting a show at the IWGP Tag Team titles against EVIL and SANADA.

- Taiji Ishimori has signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling and has been revealed as the new “Bone Solider” and is the latest member of the Bullet Club. He laid out IWGP Jr. Champion Will Ospreay. Ishimori left Pro Wrestling NOAH in March where he was one of the company’s biggest stars over the past few years.

- The seating chart for All In as well as the ticket prices have been revealed with pricing tiers at $158, $128, $103, $78, $53 and $28. If this show sells out or draws 10,000 people (and I believe it will), Cody and the Bucks are going to be making a ton of money. Out of all the tickets being sold, 7500 are in the $53 or $28 range so they are keeping it well priced for fans.

- Speaking of the Bullet Club, Cody, The Bucks and Kenny Omega continue to be masters of their craft, they became the first non-WWE wrestlers to have Funko Pops made of them. They are currently being sold at Hot Topic stores across the country.

- As I said when then “ended” the show, BEING THE ELITE is back on the air to help build and sell tickets for “All In”.

- Matt Cross a.k.a. Son of Havoc in Lucha Underground and best known for being eliminated super early from the Steve Austin version of Tough Enough is now officially “All In”.

- Major props to Cody’s wife Brandi as she made her japan debut at Stardom wrestling 4 matches in 3 days and the latter two of those matches she worked with her clavicle broken in two places. That is the definition of toughness. She will be out of action for approximately 6 weeks or so as she underwent surgery to repair the damage; major props to her for being a trooper and working through the injury.

- ROH Champion Dalton Castle is working through a serious back injury and is being protected in booking to keep him from breaking down. Caste noted at the “War of the Worlds” show last night that he was taking time off from wrestling but was NOT relinquishing the title and would be back soon.

- Fairly big news for those who follow all of Japan’s wrestling promotions, Takashi Okamura, the man who built Dragon Gate has announced that he is leaving the promotion due to health issues.

- What do I need to look out for with PCO? For those who don’t know, former WWE star Pierre Carl Ouellet has been lighting the independent scene up lately and getting a lot of buzz despite the fact that he is 50 years old. He is the talk of the indies. What did I miss? Was it his appearance at Joey Janela’s Spring Break this April? Was it before that? What do I need to watch?

- AMEN to LuFisto as she revealed that her cervical cancer is all gone and she will have a follow up appointment in six months to confirm that it has not returned.

- It appears the heat for Rich Swann has died down as he worked MLW’s television tapings last weekend and received an ovation with no boos or cat calls. Now that all of the heat involving his wife Su Yang has died down, I think the retirement talk is over and he is once again going to start wrestling full time.

- Official Trailer for Season 4 ofLUCHA UNDERGROUND. The 4th season debuts on El Rey Network on June 13th.

- Progress wrestling from the U.K. announced that they are doing a U.S. tour in August from August 4th through August 12th and plan on hitting New York, Boston, Chicago and Detroit.

TNA/GLOBAL FORCE IMPACT WRESTLING NEWS and NOTES:

- Johnny Impact a.k.a. John Morrison has been off the television shows as of late because he will be a competitor on the next season of CBS Survivor. The season was filmed in Fiji and explains why he hasn’t been around any independent events either as of late.

- It’s full speed ahead on the Sami Callihan push for Impact as he “injured” Don Callis this week on TV and they are going forward with him purposely hurting people. I am 100% against this by the way. His talent level does not match this push and his recklessness, angle or not, is dumb.

MMA News and Notes:

- UFC has struck a deal with UFC starting in January 2019. They will air 15 UFC Fight Night events on ESPN’s new streaming service ESPN+. It is a 5 year deal worth $150 million annually. They will also be the exclusive home to Dana White’s “Contender Series” starting June 2019. ESPN will be in charge of all production for the 15 events as well as access to ALL of UFC’s archives of programming. ESPN the Network will get hundreds of hours of archival programming to re-air but no live events. Only replays. This is only PART of their new TV deal as they are still working and negotiating with a broadcast partner for when their Fox deal expires.

- The deal is an extremely lucrative one for UFC since it is only for 15 events meaning that ESPN is paying them $10 million per event. WOW. The deal is only for online shows, nothing airing on ESPN or ESPN 2. UFC does get the benefit of ESPN wanting their streaming service to succeed which means that ESPN will go further in depth promoting the shows and covering the product on Sports Center and other programming.

- The $10 million per event on ESPN+ is the equivalent of a UFC PPV doing 260,000 PPV buys.

- Fox is still the front runner to retain the television rights fees for UFC as they have a standing offer of $200 million + on the table. WME-IMG is still negotiating with CBS, NBC and Turner Broadcasting as well however and could get even more than that. Whatever deal they get, if it is more than $200 million, it will keep UFC financially healthy for at least another 5 years or so.

- Despite the deal, which includes archives, UFC has no plans to end their Fight Pass Network as they are still going to have at least 5 Fight Pass exclusive shows exclusive to the app. ESPN+ will also only get PPV’s up to 2018. They will not get 2019 PPV events or replays of said events as those will be exclusive to Fight Pass as well. They also will not get events from

- The deal is only in the U.S. only meaning that if UFC wanted to make a deal with another streaming service for international nations; they essentially could and add to their revenue.

- Tomorrow marks what will likely be Vitor Belfort’s FINAL MMA match and even if not, it will definitely be his final UFC fight as his contract expires following the event. He has said that he is retiring following the bout but with both Rizin and Bellator signing well past their prime fighters to lucrative deals, it is possible that he may fight again down the road.

- Dana White revealed that he is currently working on a George St. Pierre vs. Nate Diaz fight for the August 4th PPV from Los Angeles at the Staples Center. The fight will be at lightweight which is a MAJOR cut for GSP since he fought his last fight at Middleweight. The reason for the fight being at 155 is that the winner can be booked against Conor McGregor and as I noted last year before GSP returned that GSP vs. McGregor would easily be the biggest fight in UFC history and the first fight to surpass 2 million PPV buys.

- Also being targeting is Luke Rockhold vs. Alexander Gustafsson at Light Heavyweight. The main event of that show will be a Bantamweight Title fight between T.J. Dillashaw vs. Cody Garbrandt.

- UFC is targeting September 15th for their debut in Russia and are looking to host the show in Moscow. Ideally they would want Khabib Nurmagomedov headlining that show with a title defense but the only logical opponent would be Conor McGregor for that show and he is up in the air as to what is happening next with him.

- Boxing legend and promoter Oscar De La Hoya revealed that he is looking to start his own MMA promotion and is interested in Chuck Liddell. With that being said and the fact that the first fighter he is looking to sign is Liddell shows you how little De La Hoya knows about MMA. When asked about Liddell, Dana White noted that he is all for him teaming with De La Hoya whether as an owner or an executive for whatever MMA venture was being started but he would be heartbroken if Liddell was joining De La Hoya with the intent of fighting again.

- Chad Mendes has completed his USADA PED suspension and will return to action on July 14th against Myles Jury.

- USADA announced that all UFC fighters who have successfully passed 25 drug tests or more will receive USADA T-shirts. I cannot make thus stuff up. LOL.

- Jon Fitch makes his Bellator MMA debut tomorrow night against Paul Daley. We will also see the next bout in the Heavyweight Grand Prix as Ryan Bader takes on Mohammed “King Mo” Lawal.

    - BONUS Random ARTICLE of the week: This news sucks hard if you are a fan of Sons of Anarchy. Thoughts and prayers go out to actor David Labrava who played “Happy” on the hit show.

    - Avengers: Infinity War. WOW. Just mother*cking WOW. It is also the fastest film in movie history to make $1 billion worldwide. It also holds the record for highest U.S. opening weekend ever. I haven’t seen it a second time yet but plan to soon. Amazing film.

    - If it holds up this weekend, it could end up grossing $2 billion in theaters worldwide which would make it only the 3rd film to ever surpass that number at the Box Office after Avatar and The Force Awakens.

    - Despite the fact that he was teased at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 and plays a big part in the Infinity War comic book, the Russo Brothers as well as Guardians director James Gunn have both stated that they do not intend to use the Adam Warlock character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is not expected to appear in Avengers 4 which has completed filming nor is he a character in Guardians 3.

    - Even though principle production is completed, no Avengers 4 reshoots have been filmed yet and that is expected to take place over the next several months. The Russo Brothers have stated that they have not cut any of the film together yet so until that takes place and they figure out what is being cut out of the film and what is being re-shot, no trailer will air. The best case scenario is that no trailer will be released until November or December.

    - Sylvester Stallone confirmed that he is set to write, direct and star in a 5th Rambo film scheduled for 2019.

    - Actor Keanu Reeves has confirmed that he will reunite with Alex Winter for “Bill and Ted 3” in an official press release more than 30 years after their last film. Original creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon have written the script for it and both Reeves and Winter are signed to reprise their iconic roles. The title of the film is “Bill and Ted Face the Music”.

    - A couple of weeks ago I posted a story on the behavior of actor Clayne Crawford who plays Martin Riggs on the Fox television show “Lethal Weapon” opposite Damon Wayans Sr. as Roger Murtaugh and how some acts on set may affect the show if it gets renewed. Well the show got an official renewal, but despite that fact, Fox has in fact FIRED Clayne Crawford from the role and is looking to recast the position for next season.

    - I have not watched yet but I heard “Cobra Kai” on YouTube Red is fantastic and it has been renewed for a 2nd season.

    - Season 2 of Netflix’s “Iron Fist” has wrapped production.

    - Season 2 of Netflix’s “The Punisher” has announced that they are adding actress Annette O’Toole and actor Corbin Bernsen to the cast.
