T.G.I.F. with Matt Dawgs: #408

Good day to you all and welcome to We Want Insanity. I am your host for today, Matt Dawgs and this is my column. Today is the end of the work week and the time to look back at all the goings-on over the past seven days as I wrap it up with a bow and spout it out bit by bit. Buckle up. Enjoy the ride.

IMPORTANT MATT NOTE:: I don’t normally request much but as some of you who follow me on social media may know, I have a 7 year old cousin who is currently battling an aggressive form of cancer called neuroblastoma which effects 700 kids annually in the United States. He is a warrior who is fighting this with more strength than adults show. If possible, can you please take the time to donate to help him and his parents financially through this battle. If not, I understand. At least take a minute to copy the link from here and post it on your social media. Perhaps one of your friends or family members would be willing to donate. No set amount being asked for. Whatever you can afford. As little as $1 if that is all you can contribute. Everything helps. As of now, they are responsible for only 20% of his medical bills to date. That may not seem like a lot but when his year to date bills has already surpassed $1,000,000 and they owe 20% of that, well you get the picture. So please, if you can. Thanks.

BONUS MATT NOTE: #PrayersForFlair. WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is currently in intensive care at a hospital in Atlanta with some severe heart issues amongst other things. Originally it was reported that it was just for some routine tests however it has since been revealed that he was suffering from a colon blockage and upon further testing, his heart issues were revealed. He had to be placed in a medically induced coma at one point in order to have surgery to repair the blockage in his bowels. The surgery was successful but now he is undergoing kidney dialysis and has multiple organ failure issues. An external pacemaker has been installed to assist in in his heart beat which is getting stronger. He is also battling a major infection. He is nowhere near being out of the woods yet and has a tough road ahead of him. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

- RAW on Monday was actually one of the better “go home” shows that WWE has put on in quite some time. The main event angle with the participants in the Universal Title match was solid and for those wondering, there was absolute purpose behind the focus of that pull apart being Lesnar and Strowman more so than Joe/Reigns. The build-up to the Rollins/Ambrose reunion was excellent as well. I just really wish they never did the Reigns/Rollins reunion several months ago. Even if they wanted Rollins as a face all this time, they could have kept them apart too as they absolutely rushed that reunion. WWE could have then focused on having Ambrose try to get Roman on board and built that up for a few. Either way, now they are building to that original 3-way fist bump and whenever they do it, the roof is going to blow off the arena they do it in.

- Sasha Banks works well with Nia Jax. Bayley for some reason does not.

- I am surprised that they haven’t added Miz vs. Jason Jordan for Summerslam. You would think that with their positioning on the card, they would have gotten a featured spot.

- So Elias Sampson is back? At least that is what he was called by Michael Cole and Corey Graves. Of course after last week with Booker continuously calling him Elias Sampson and then had to be corrected during the commercial break, this week he was the ONLY one calling him Elias. LOL.

- Big Cass FINALLY delivered on the mic as his promo was well done and the heat he got was off the charts.

- Why did the Club help Cass? They were just feuding with the Hardy’s and the Revival. With the Revival out, why didn’t they just pivot to the Hardy’s/Club feud?

- Apparently Akira Tozawa won the Cruiserweight title. Now tell me, is he a heel or a face? I think Titus is a face. But I am not sure. I am also not sure why they took the title off Neville to begin with. Having him as the “King” of the cruiserweights was fantastic and you could have instantly made a star when someone new defeated him.

- Not for nothing, when Emma goes around claiming she started the Women’s Revolution, she isn’t wrong. It was her stuff with both Paige and Charlotte in NXT that helped kick start it. She is often overlooked which is a shame.

- Way to get major heel heat on Monday with Bray Wyatt dumping that “RED ACIDIC LIQUID” on Finn Balor. LOL. Acidic Liquid. LMAO. I can’t. This f*cking company. LOLOLOLOLZ.

- I am actually glad that they built up to the Demon Balor returning rather than having him return from injury several months ago using it for no reason. Also, for those wondering, they likely had Wyatt win clean on Monday because Wyatt NEVER wins any of his feuds and this will be no different. So having him win one makes it look like he is a serious main event level guy rather than a guy who talks a great talk but never backs up anything he says. Problem is, when you have guy’s trade wins, it means NOTHING. So Balor gets his win back at Summerslam. Whoopdie Do. SMH. No one is going to care. It is 50/50 booking and that helps nobody.

- P.S. The crowd did POP loud for him mentioning that the Demon was coming at Summerslam. That entrance always entertains.

- Sigh. No one cares about Jason Jordan. It is amazing because it isn’t like they believe he is Kurt Angle’s son. But the problem is, they don’t even BOO him when he comes out. Not in a “We know he isn’t Kurt’s son so f*ck him” way. The crowd doesn’t react to him at all. No cheers. No boos. Nothing. Just complete and total indifference and that is NOT the reaction that anyone wants people to get. Even when he is wrestling in the ring and throwing people around you can hear the crickets.

- My friend Lou hinted that Enzo Amore and Big Cass have been in cahoots for a while and that this was always a plan for them to retire the Big Show. I am starting to think he is right. We will find out on Sunday but it isn’t a bad idea if true.

- I admittedly did NOT see that coming on Smackdown. So my theory of Corbin beating Nakamura on Sunday is now out of the question since Corbin UNSUCCESSULLY cashed in his MITB briefcase on Smackdown. It was so weird and out of the blue but apparently Corbin and his Tweeting got him into trouble as he had a verbal battle with a military veteran where he called the guy a loser. Corbin did NOT know he was a vet and apologized the minute he found out. But you know Vince and how he feels about our Armed Forces, that didn’t go over well. It was made even worse when it was revealed that the vet he was arguing with had a photo with him and VINCE taken at one of the Tribute to the Troops shows. Oops.

- Jinder Mahal has “IT”. No, he is still not a good worker and very far from it actually but his packaging is done right. If they continue to groom his in-ring work, the potential is there to be a star. Admittedly I was against it even though I understood it but he has improved by leaps and bounds on his presentation and he plays the part of champion well.

- I am 100% against Lana being Tamina’s manager/valet/whatever it is she is. If she isn’t going to wrestle full time like they tried then she NEEDS to be paired with Rusev. This is stupid. Rusev could use her and they are better as a package than separate.

- Remember when Ambrose was telling Rollins on RAW for the past few weeks that he HAD to save him from a beat down because he would look like a jerk if he didn’t? Well apparently Randy Orton did NOT get that memo because he was completely fine letting Rusev beat up Chad Gable and only when Rusev stopped and decided to pose is when Orton came out to lay out Rusev. LMAO.

- When we have segments like the one involving Shane McMahon/A.J. Styles/Kevin Owens you see why the main event level talents are main event level talents and those who aren’t, aren’t. Everything in that segment went smoothly and they legit got my attention heading into Sunday.

- Remember how good the build up to the reunion of Ambrose and Rollins was? They built it up for a few weeks and then paid it off and the crowd went apesh*t? Well the Fashion Police “whodunit” is the opposite of that. They dug it into the ground and now I really don’t care who did it. I just wanted it over and revealed already so I can move on. Yes Breezango is funny but enough is enough. Stop beating the dead horse.

- For those of you wondering where the hatred for Dolph Ziggler comes from in management, you can unfortunately blame John Cena. Former WWE writer Kevin Eck revealed to Wade Keller that Cena was told he was being put in a program with Ziggler and Cena was hyped for it and looking forward to working with him. Being that Ziggler was the heel, Cena decided to let him call the matches they had together. When those matches didn’t do well, Cena went to Vince to tell him that he wasn’t as impressed as he thought he’d be with Ziggler. A few days later in a booking meeting, Vince who was already negative on Ziggler and was only giving him a chance to work with Cena due to the fan reactions he was getting noted, “I think we are really doing a disservice to John and this feud is bringing John down. Let’s end it.” And that was that. This was all BEFORE Ziggler cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase. Vince never had any intentions of Ziggler having a run as champion but Pat Patterson approached Vince and told him that they should have him cash it in at Mania since no one would expect it. Vince nixed it but told the writing team to have him cash it in on the RAW after Mania to pop the crowd and get a rating off it. He also noted however that they shouldn’t make any long term plans with Ziggler as champion because they were going to take the title off of him as soon as possible. That was sidetracked however after he suffered his concussion and they had to wait a few months to have him lose the strap.

- Shelton Benjamin has once again resigned with WWE. He actually was set to sign last summer which included vignettes hyping his return to Smackdown but upon his physical it was revealed that he had a torn rotator cuff and thus his offer was rescinded. He has had surgery and is healed and due back in WWE soon.

- Paige revealed in an interview that she hopes to return to the ring over the next few months and she is just awaiting clearance from WWE’s doctors. For some reason, I don’t think that clearance is going to come.

- WWE confirmed that they will once again returning to the Barclay’s center in Brooklyn for Summerslam next year. It is a big gamble as NONE of the 4 shows this weekend are sold out. Summerslam will likely be the ONLY show sold out by show time.

- The rumors are not rumors anymore. Ronda Rousey has been training with Brian Kendrick in Los Angeles. That is what the build up with the Horsewomen has been for. The goal is to get an 8 woman tag match and then a singles match with Rousey out of it. It is also expected that Shayna Baszler is going to be or has already signed with WWE in some capacity and actually debuted/worked NXT live events last weekend. The idea is that if she is signed, they wouldn’t want to announce it until after the tournament finals. She has also STOPPED taking independent dates from bookers.

- Scott Dawson of the Revival underwent surgery on his torn bicep and will be out of action until December the earliest. God damn these guys have NO LUCK at all as every time they gain some steam, BOOM an injury occurs.

- WWE sent Braun Strowman, Big Cass and Alexa Bliss to Yankee Stadium on Tuesday as part of the Summerslam promotion as well as to present home run derby champion Aaron Judge with a WWE Replica Championship Title.

- Bayley revealed in an interview this week that she has a grade 2 shoulder separation and will be out of action for several months with no timetable set for her return.

- Props to Mike Kanellis as he revealed earlier this week that he had overcome a drug addiction to prescription pain medication via his Instagram. He noted that it started 3 years ago after he dislocated his kneecap and the addiction became very dangerous over the last 18 months or so before finally getting the help he needed and kicking the habit before his WWE signing.

- WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan celebrated his 64th birthday last weekend.

- WWE officially announced what I revealed last week that Adam Cole has signed a deal and will debuting soon. Possibly as soon as tomorrow night at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.

- Triple H revealed on the NXT Conference call that there has been discussions and there is potential for some people from the main roster being moved to NXT to help hone their skills and help younger wrestlers develop. This would be similar to both Tyson Kidd and Cesaro working in NXT two years ago with Kidd working there for almost a year before being called back up and refreshed as a main roster member. Same with Zack Ryder.

- He also discussed the Mae Young Classic and said that some of the matches in the tournament were better than some of the Cruiserweight Classic matches. He also noted that they are releasing them via the “binge watch” format that Netflix uses for new releases. It is an experiment but the first 4 episodes will be released at the same time on August 28th and thent he next 4 will be released on September 4th with the finals taking place live on September 12th as a Network Special.

- Asuka walking into Brooklyn on Saturday as NXT Women’s Champion will mean she has held that title for 504 days thus making her the longest reigning women’s champion in WWE history surpassing Rocking Robin’s title reign of 502 days.

- Triple H confirmed that Adam Cole has signed with the company. Considering that Tomasso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly have all kept their names, I can’t imagine them changing Cole’s name; especially due to his catchphrase. I mean, could you imagine him saying “I’m Skip Zippers BAYBAY!!!!!” or whatever it is that they’d change it to?

- WWE U.K. Champion Pete Dunne along with Tyler Bate, Trent Seven and Mark Andrews all worked on independent shows last weekend in the United States as they were flown in by WWE to be here for Summerslam weekend. They will likely be at the NXT tapings next week at Full Sail University in some capacity.

- WWE Network debuts in China today.

- The “No Mercy” PPV takes place on September 24th from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It is a Raw brand PPV and both Brock Lesnar and John Cena are advertised to be wrestling on the show.

- WWE Smackdown will be hosting a “Clash of the Champions” PPV event in December. It always bothers me when WWE chooses to use WCW names for shows like the “Great American Bash” or “The Clash” yet still refuses to use “War Games” because it is a WCW idea. SMH.

- SHINSUKE NAKAMURA’S THEME being played in the streets of New York.

- Daniel Bryan is the guest on today’s Edge and Christian Podcast. Interesting note is that earlier in the week Brie Bella revealed that she can say with 100% certainty that Bryan will wrestle again. It is just a matter of where. Bryan has apparently been undergoing Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy which is supposed to help with cognitive issues such as concussions. NFL Hall of Famer Joe Namath celebrates this form of therapy and says it has changed his life.

- Brie also confirmed that she will be returning to WWE to be an in ring performer sometime in 2018.

- 2K Sports has released the names of 47 roster members that are going to be in the WWE 2K18 video game in addition to the previously announced Seth Rollins and Kurt Angle characters, being released on October 17th, They are as follows:

  • Bray Wyatt
  • Dolph Ziggler
  • Sami Zayn
  • Dean Ambrose
  • Baron Corbin
  • Kalisto
  • Akira Tozawa
  • Sin Cara
  • Hideo Itami
  • Eric Young
  • Jinder Mahal
  • The Bushwhackers (Butch & Luke)
  • The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor)
  • Cesaro
  • Sheamus
  • Karl Anderson
  • Luke Gallows
  • Nikki Cross
  • Alundra Blayze
  • Emma
  • Lita
  • Summer Rae
  • Paige
  • Brie Bella
  • Nikki Bella
  • The British Bulldog
  • Buddy Roberts
  • Diamond Dallas Page
  • The Big Boss Man
  • Mark Henry
  • Bam Bam Bigelow
  • Bret Hart
  • Dusty Rhodes
  • The Undertaker
  • Big Show
  • Andre the Giant
  • Kane
  • Kevin Nash (and Diesel)
  • Luke Harper
  • Erick Rowan
  • Sawyer Fulton
  • Alexander Wolfe
  • Killian Dain
  • Braun Strowman
  • Goldust
  • - Now that is just a taste of the roster. As you may have noticed, NONE of the main event level acts currently on the roster are listed including Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, John Cena, A.J. Styles, Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman, Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura, ETC. They are all expected to be in the game as well and will be announced as we get closed to the release date. When it is all said and done, there will likely be well over 100 wrestlers to choose from when playing.

    - Former WWE Producer/Agent Joey Mercury is taking independent bookings. He worked for Tommy Dreamer’s “House of Hardcore” promotion last weekend and is playing the role of “WWE liason” for Paul (HHH) in a heel role.

    - In MAJOR news that is shaking up Global Force Wrestling, despite being cleared by Orlando Police of any wrongdoing following an incident at Orlando Airport with his fiancé Paige, GFW has STRIPPED Alberto El Patron of the GFW Heavyweight Title and he will NOT be appearing at this week’s television tapings which were set to wrap up all television between now and the “Bound For Glory” PPV in October. It is not believed that GFW will continue to use him come October either.

    - The tapings starting tonight are the longest tapings GFW has ever run.

    - El Patron released a statement via his social media claiming the idea to be stripped of the title was his and he felt it would be in the best interest of both parties if he was no longer champion right now.

    - SPOILER ALERT: Eli Drake is the new GFW Champion. Um….ok.

    - John Morrison is has joined the promotion as “Johnny Impact” and will debut “next week” (which was already taped).

    - Jim Cornette debuted last night as an on-air television character. I am flabberghasted that he went back there despite all of the craziness that ensues but it is what it is.

    - Taryn Terrill made her return to Impact by helping Sienna retain her Knockout’s Title against Gail Kim.

    - Tyrus, who is still under contract, noted that he is NOT coming to the tapings this week due to being treated like a 2nd class citizen by the promotion.

    - Angelina Love joins her fiancé Davey Richards as she requested and was granted her release from the promotion.

    - Konnan’s “The Crash” promotion will be taping footage for Global Force Wrestling on their September 2nd show from Mexico. The taping will be used as one of their contractually obligated “One Night Only” PPV shows.

    - Brandi Rhodes revealed in an interview that she was never under contract to GFW. She had signed a tentative contract with them noting that she may have conflicting outside projects that may interfere with GFW and if GFW was uncooperative with her, she could terminate the contract. That is exactly what happened so she left.

Ring of Honor / Lucha Underground / Independent / International News and Notes:

    - Tetsuya Naito captured the G-1 crown last weekend defeating Kenny Omega in the finals. I haven’t seen the match yet but heard it was excellent and our very own James Guttman can vouch for it. I did manage to see both Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Tetsuya Naito in the A-Block finals and Kenny Omega vs IWGP World Champion Kazuchika Okada in the B-Block finals. Omega FINALLY got his win over Okada and the match was excellent. How they managed to have 3 classic matches, all completely different is amazing. The first was a psychology masterpiece. The 2nd was an test of endurance and the 3rd was a complete and utter match where two men pulled out everything from their arsenal to try and win. I cannot wait for the 4th since it is now 1 and 1 with 1 draw. They have to have Omega beat him for the title eventually. Likely January in the Tokyo Dome or at least on whatever the next big U.S. show is.

    - Katsuyori Shibata made his return to NJPW at the G-1 Finals. Obviously didn’t wrestle. He just came out unannounced to his music and told the crowd that he is alive. A ton of crowd members were in legitimate tears when he came out.

    - Ring of Honor is considering opening up more seating for the October 15th Chicago show marking the return of Kenny Omega. The way they have the building set up now, they are SOLD OUT with 2,300 tickets sold making it the biggest show in the market in ROH history. The building however can seat 5,000 people if reconfigured. So they may want to reconsider the set up and have a bigger audience.

    - Progress Wrestling ran in Queens NY over the weekend in what was a questionable situation as the building they were running in had a maximum capacity of 650 people. They had an attendance of 1,500 people. Add that to the no air conditioning and it was a dangerous situation to run in. With the exception of two people passing out due to the heat, there were no other injuries or situations but had something like a fire taken place, it could have been bad. WWE U.K. Champion Pete Dunne was scheduled to defend his title on the show since it is his “home” promotion but he was pulled from action by WWE due to him getting his head split open the night before at a Battle Club Pro Wrestling show in Brooklyn by Darius Carter. Carter had gotten a lot of heat from it since allegedly he has developed a reputation for being a little careless with his opponents in the past. Due to the injury which required 11 stitches to close, WWE could choose to ban Dunne from working independently anymore, including for Progress. They haven’t come to that decision but would be well within their rights to do so.

    - Progress will be back on Wrestlemania weekend in Orlando.

    - Devon Moore apologized for a locker room incident a few weeks ago where he stole $200 out of the bag of Joey Janela. He noted in his letter that he was extremely sorry for his behavior and that drugs make you do desperate things. He noted that he is checking into a 30 day rehab facility and that this incident going public was a wakeup call and a blessing in disguise.

    - Congrats to “The Crash” promotion as they drew their biggest crowd to date last week drawing an attendance of 9,000 people.

    - So I have no idea why this story is just now coming out but apparently CMLL stars Rush, Pierroth and Vangellys allegedly beat a man named Adrian Enrique Lopez back in July of 2015 and he is confined to a wheel chair because of it. They have denied that they attacked him without cause and claim that he and a security guard tried to attack them.

    - AAA confirmed that TripleMania will air next Saturday on Channel 5 in Mexico which is the equivalent of NBC here in the United States. That is HUGE for them but it is also going to be cut off midway to air Mayweather vs. McGregor and then cut back into TripleMania when the fight is done.

    MMA News and Notes:

    - In news that will certainly effect the betting of the fight and provide people with more hope that Conor McGregor is going to win, the Nevada State Athletic Commission presented a one-time exception to allow both Mayweather and McGregor to fight in 8 ounce gloves instead of the traditional 10 ounce gloves that those fighting above 147 lbs. fight in. This will provide McGregor with a punchers chance using the lighter gloves since he is used to fighting in 4 ounce gloves in UFC.

    - Red Flags everywhere with the above decision as the Association of Ringside Physicians recommended to the NSAC the night before to NOT make the change citing health reasons. The fact that the Commission approved the change with a 5 – 0 vote leads me to believe that the “fix” may be in and Mayweather is going to throw the fight. He now has an “Out” if he loses and the rematch will actually do double the business. It is a smart move in my eyes and absolutely possible in boxing.

    - Referee Robert Byrd will be refereeing the fight next Saturday with Burt Clements, Dave Moretti and Guido Cavalleri serving as judges for the fight.

    - Conor McGregor is claiming that he plans on continuing both boxing and MMA in the future. He is saying that his fight with Mayweather is NOT a one off deal.

    - The Maloof Brothers who are the billionaires that own the Sacramento Kings as well as car dealerships around the country and other things have bet $880,000 on Mayweather.

    - I personally put $100 on McGregor. Just in case.

    - Mayweather noted this week that win or lose he plans on this fight with McGregor being his final fight. He’s done. I don’t believe that though because if he loses, a rematch does double the business.

    - UFC has announced that an interim Lightweight Title fight between Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee will take place at UFC 216 in October. Conor McGregor will fight the winner in 2018 to unify the titles meaning that McGregor is likely not fighting in 2017 unless they book the fight for the December show which is cutting it close if the winner gets injured.

    - The above announced fight sure puts a damper on Khabib Nurmagomedov’s career as he revealed that the ONLY fight he will accept from UFC is a title fight against Conor. He won’t fight anyone else.

    - George St. Pierre is NOT one and done as he noted earlier this week. He said that if he beats Michael Bisping to capture the UFC Middleweight title, he is contractually obligated to defend the title at least once meaning he will face Robert Whitaker down the line.

    - UFC Senior Vice President of International Business and Content, Joe Car is leaving the promotion. This is a fairly big departure for the new regime of UFC.

    - Anthony Pettis vs. Dustin Poirier has been signed as the main event of UFC Fight Night in Norfolk on November 11th. Both my brother and my cousin Carlos are attending this show.

    - WWE Smackdown Champion Jinder Mahal will be walking out with Arjan Bhullar for his September 9th fight from Alberta against Luis Henrique.

    - Former UFC star Frank Mir has signed with Bellator. Mir is still suspended following a USADA PED test failure this is not allowed to debut in a commissioned state until April 2018. Prior to signing with Bellator, Mir was the longest consecutive tenured fighter in UFC as he had been with the promotion for 16 straight years.

    - Ryan Bader is set to defend the Bellator Light Heavyweight Title against Linton Vassell on November 3rd.

    - According to Tony Zucca, a.k.a. Matt Hughes best friend, Hughes is recovering from his car accident a few months ago where he was hit by a train. He said he still has a long road ahead of him but Zucca and Hughes were able to actually sneak out of the hospital to get some sushi.

    - Amateur fighter Rondel Clark passed away last week at age 26 following a fight that he was dominating due to his kidney’s shutting down during the fight. He won the 1st round with a 10 -8 scorecard and won round 2 before midway through the 3rd his opponent mounted him and he couldn’t move despite not being hurt by the punches. The referee noticed he wasn’t moving and stopped the fight. He was taken to the hospital via stretcher and passed away.

UFC 215 is on Saturday, September 9th, 2017 from Edmonton Alberta Canada and the line-up is as follows:

  • UFC FLYWEIGHT TITLE: Demetrious Johnson © vs. Ray Borg
  • UFC WOMEN’S BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE: Amanda Nunes © vs. Valentina Shevchenko
  • Junior Dos Santos vs. Francis Ngannou
  • Gilbert Melendez vs. Jeremy Stephens
  • Henry Cejudo vs. Wilson Reis
  • UFC 216 is on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 from Las Vegas Nevada and the line-up is as follows:

They don’t need guns. They don’t need bombs. They don’t need knives. They don’t need planes. There is always a way to create terror.

    - BONUS Random ARTICLE of the week PART 5: The hits just keep on coming. Has there ever been a White House under this much turmoil?

    - Actor Daniel Craig revealed this week on the Stephen Colbert show that he will in fact be returning for the currently untitled 25th James Bond Film. He did confirm that it will also be his FINAL film in the Bond role.

    - In a big story that affects television, Shonda Rhimes the creator of successful “T.G.I.T.” line up on ABC that includes “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Scandal” and “How To Get Away With Murder” has decided to leave her deal with ABC and join Netflix where she will create and produce several shows and projects for the streaming Network. Both Grey’s and HTGAWM will remain on ABC for the length of their existence.

    - Filming on the latest Mission Impossible film has been put on hold, possibly for as much as 6 months as main star Tom Cruise broke his ankle when performing one of the stunts for the film. His ankle broke in two places while performing a stunt that required him to jump across rooftops. He shorted the jump and ended up hitting his ankle against a wall. He then climbed up the roof and tried to continue the shot by running but had to stop after limping a few steps and stop for a break. The film was set to be released next summer as one of the summer blockbusters but may have to be shelved until Christmas 2018.

    - TOM CRUISE’S INJURY from two different camera angles.

    - Lucas Films revealed that Disney does in fact have an Obi Won Kenobi stand-alone film in the works.
