TGIF: Angle Replacing Roman, Styles Replacing Wyatt, and More

By Matt Dawgs Oct 20, 2017 - 4:16 PM print

T.G.I.F. with Matt Dawgs: #417

Good day to you all and welcome to We Want Insanity. I am your host for today, Matt Dawgs and this is my column. Today is the end of the work week and the time to look back at all the goings-on over the past seven days as I wrap it up with a bow and spout it out bit by bit. Buckle up. Enjoy the ride.

IMPORTANT MATT NOTE:: I am hoping that you readers have taken the time to lend a hand and donated to the JAIDAN STRONG cause for me. I’d really appreciate it if you did; as little as $5 can go a long way. If not, it isn’t a big deal but please at least SHARE THE LINK. I get that finances can be tough for some but taking the time to share a link via your social media doesn’t cost a dime. I’d appreciate it greatly as one of your friends or family members may be able to help out. Thanks.

BONUS MATT NOTE: #FakeMelania ???

WWE NEWS AND NOTES:

MAJOR BREAKING NEWS: KURT ANGLE WILL MAKE HIS IN-RING RETURN AT THE TLC PPV ON SUNDAY REPLACING ROMAN REIGNS!!!! Yes, apparently Reigns is “injured” and thus not able to compete and so Angle will be replacing him per WWE.COM.

- Also WWE announced that there originally was believed to be a possible outbreak of viral meningitis on the roster. That has now been corrected and the entire roster is being tested for mumps. That is why Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas and Jojo Offerman have been missing from television for the past two weeks and possibly why Roman Reigns is missing the PPV on Sunday. If this becomes an outbreak it will be bad for WWE as it takes a while to overcome.

- RAW had their “go home” show for TLC on Monday and I am extremely disappointed that not only did WWE not heed my opinion with having the Shield in a handicap match against 4 men but WWE decided to one up me and make it 5 MEN!!! SMH. The Shield shouldn’t be returning to a 5 on 3 match. That’s dumb. And Kane? Kane of all people? Sigh.

- By the way, even though WWE didn’t spell it out, I got it. Kane is back for revenge on Roman for retiring his brother. That makes sense. It is just a bad time to do it with the Shield reuniting.

- This will be Kane’s first match in 2017.

- I was pleased that the Shield came out in their old gear, through the crowd with their old music. That was cool.

- With the Shield reunited, WWE is running with the ball by having them headline live events with trios matches. They are also full speed ahead on shirts and dog tags for the group so they are probably running with this angle until the end of the year.

- Once again Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas and Jojo Offerman all missed RAW. That is two weeks in a row that three of them have missed. There are some questions on whether or not Bray will be at the PPV on Sunday. Just for the record as it probably wasn’t noticed but JoJo was also absent from RAW the past two weeks. For those not in the loop, Bray Wyatt is in the middle of a divorce from his wife due to being in an extra-marital affair with JoJo. Allegedly the 3 of them are all suffering from viral meningitis but has now been confirmed as the mumps. Wyatt will be missing the PPV on Sunday.

- With Wyatt missing the PPV on Sunday, do not fret because WWE has found a suitable replacement. Finn Balor will be on the show likely as himself and not the demon. And he will be wrestling against…. “THE PHENOMENAL” A.J. STYLES!!! HOLY F*CKING SH*T!!!!

- I really wish WWE had waited for Balor to debut the “Demon” gimmick because I feel like it is being overused and him using it twice against the same guy is DUMB. He beat Wyatt with the gimmick, he beat Wyatt without the gimmick and now he is going to beat “Sister Abigail” with the gimmick again? Lame.

- Elias is getting over. It is sad that his work does not equal the level of his push but they need to put him in the ring with people who can carry him and teach him. On the job training if you will. This is why people like Goldust and Finlay and others are so invaluable to WWE. Live events should be where the talents who need work can hone their skills. Put him in with Goldust on live events for the next 4 months straight. You don’t have to program them on television. Just live events.

- Is Akira Tozawa still a part of the Titus Brand? Is the Titus Brand still a thing since Titus is now back to actively wrestling each week? Why do I care?

- Wouldn’t Anderson and Gallows be much better suited if the tag team division was all on one brand? Much better feuds for them. Either that or turn Balor heel and have The Club form.

- By the way, are Anderson and Gallows still “The Club”? I don’t hear them called that anymore.

- It is so tough to keep track of Enzo because I always fast forward through the 205 Live stuff. They get no substance to work with. It is just guys doing moves for 3 – 5 minutes on RAW. So I miss Enzo more often than not. It sucks. If I wanted to watch “pure” wrestling, I’d just watch ROH and New Japan on AXS. When I want sports entertainment, I watch RAW and Smackdown. Don’t give me guys rushing through moves just because. Give me good angles and stories. Don’t make all your guys geeks because that is exactly how the entire roster of 205 Live is treated. Neville when he was around and Enzo and Kendrick then the show started were the only guys treated like stars.

- Not for nothing, I am ok with Kane being back because he is a veteran and has star power and can work and it makes sense from an angle perspective but in all honesty, Axel deserves the spot. Give him a chance to shine with the big boys. He has earned it with all the crap they put him through. Plus, it gives them a fall guy so you don’t have to beat Miz or Sheamus or Cesaro.

- It was funny how they wrote out Axel though. That was good TV with Strowman making him “man up”.

- Where is Tom Phillips? Don’t they have a plethora of announcers stashed away? Why do they have to use the same guys on both shows and switch back and forth? They have Jim Ross, Maura Ranallo, Jerry Lawler

- As I said when it happened, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are going to run Smackdown. They are AWESOME together.

- Bobby Roode needs to be a heel. I don’t care if his entrance elicits cheers. He is NOT a babyface; all the way from his look to his mannerisms to his in ring work.

- Nothing new or official on the Neville front but the belief is that he is currently working on his release from the company. It will be a standard 90-day no compete clause for any “MAJOR” company or anyone with TV or online streaming. He will also likely not be able to disparage WWE once gone or talk about the reasons for his departure to anyone due to a gag order. It is such a shame as he could have been a much bigger star. According to former WWE Star Sean Waltman who spoke to Neville a few weeks ago, Neville told him he was very unhappy for various reasons but mostly because he wanted better creative and a better showcase for his abilities. I do not believe that WWE will NOT grant him a release and I am sure he will be in ROH and/or New Japan sooner rather than later.

- Neville however may have started a trend as rumors are circulating that Nia Jax walked out before RAW on Monday as well or never showed up to begin with. For those of you who doubt that version of the story as there are conflicting reports circulating, Jax had tweeted earlier in the day that she was looking forward to RAW. Then she never appeared on RAW. She was scheduled to face Sasha Banks at the PPV on Sunday in the pre-show and that was changed to Alicia Fox. Talent in WWE has been lead to believe that she was granted a leave of absence however sources within WWE management have noted that is NOT the case and wouldn’t comment further. WWE Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss noted yesterday in an interview that it is NOT a leave of absence but that Jax just needed some time off due to the tough road schedule. That is 100% a WWE comment because no way would WWE let Bliss discuss it without it being cleared. Bliss is however Jax’s best friend on the roster so she would have the inside track on where she is and why she is gone.

- WWE did reveal earlier today that Jax will be on WWE European Tour which begins on November 1st. So essentially she will be away from the company until then.

- Is it possible that the success of Cody on the Indies has set off a chain of events where wrestlers think they can succeed outside WWE? If so, we may see a lot more talents depart. Likely the entire 205 Live roster for starters.

- Brie Bella as noted has already begun training for her WWE comeback with her husband Daniel Bryan. Her target date for a return is January at the Royal Rumble.

- Speaking of Bella’s, Nikki Bella was in 4th this week on Dancing with the Stars. She is improving dance wise but with contestants being voted off, unless she moves into the top 3, eventually she is going to go because there are only so many people who can get voted off before she falls into that mix.

- Some controversy was sparked this week when Dave Palumbo, the personal trainer and nutritionist of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon was interviewed on a podcast this week and said that a lot of wrestlers either get Testosterone Replacement Therapy or are on Human Growth Hormone and they are allowed to do both. This obviously is AGAINST WWE’s Wellness Policy and thus isn’t something he should be saying publicly. WWE immediately went on the offensive as they issued a press release saying that “Dave Palumbo is misinformed” and that those drugs are banned by the Wellness policy unless WWE doctors approve of it coming from the talent’s personal endocrinologist for a legitimate medical need.

- For those wanting to know more about Palumbo, he did time in federal prison back in 2004 due to a guilty plea for selling counterfeit HGH. He began training HHH back in 2011. It is also noteworthy that Palumbo started in bodybuilding in an all-natural competition back in 1990 at the weight of 168lbs. By 1995 he was competing at 258 lbs. and by 1998 his “walk around” weight was 310 lbs. That should tell you all you need to know about him and his “supplement” history.

- WWE has announced that during the impending tour of India, Jinder Mahal will defend the WWE Title against Kevin Owens. This is being done because Mahal will 100% be the babyface when the company tours India and Owens can generate legitimate heel heat.

- As of now, the planned main event for Survivor Series is Jinder Mahal vs. Brock Lesnar. No titles will be on the line but read that main event again, LOL.

- Mahal is also lobbying for John Cena at Mania. In all honesty, unless Taker comes back, I don’t have a problem with it. Especially if Mahal holds the title until then.

- Former TNA/Impact/GFW/Impact Knockout Madison Rayne was at the WWE Performance Center all week for a tryout. She has NOT been signed but was working out and taking classes with currently signed talents. Rayne is the wife of former WWE and current Impact announcer Josh Matthews. A ton of other independent and sports talents were at the tryouts as well.

- Former WWE star Serena Deeb was one of the coaches for the tryout as well as NXT classes. Not sure if it was just a one-shot or a tryout for a full time coaching gig.

- James Ellsworth revealed that it was 100% Carmella’s idea for them to be paired as a duo and she is the one who personally pitched it to Vince McMahon.

- Former WWE talent Austin Aries noted in a tweet that he expects to make more money his first 6 weeks back on the Indies than he made his last 4 months of WWE. That is both sad and insane if true.

- Congrats to Mickie James as she was inducted into the Native American Hall of Fame over the weekend.

- Chris Jericho discussed Jimmy Jacobs release and noted that he believes if he was on the road with the company when it happened, he would have been able to prevent it. He did say that posing for the picture with them while they were “invading” wasn’t the smartest idea however even if they are his friends.

- Jericho’s exact comments on Jacobs were: “Jimmy’s good and if I was there, I would’ve tried to help him out, but it’s not the smartest of moves. If I work at McDonalds and post a picture of me hanging out with guys from Wendy’s and hashtag #WendysIsGreat, McDonalds might not be too happy about it. I think Jimmy’s a smart guy and maybe wouldn’t surprise me if he knew something was going to happen by doing it. Maybe he was getting sick of it. I don’t know. I just know as soon as I saw that picture; I was just like oof with the hashtag #BCInvasion. You can’t do that. I mean, you can’t. Was it a fireable offense? Well, it’s not my decision. Obviously Vince thought it was though which tells me there was probably some other stuff going on and that was the final straw. I will say this, last year in 2016 Jimmy Jacobs was my co-writer on all of it. All of it. Everything I did. And the weeks he wasn’t there, I was like, Ah, fuck, I don’t like this, I want Jimmy. So he’s very talented and he really got me. He understood me. I worked with him a few times and I went to Dave Kapoor saying I want Scoville, which is his real name, Chris Scoville, on every Jericho promo. No one else because that’s how much I trusted his talent, his instincts.

- In a telling note however, Jacobs did his first interview since being released by WWE this week and in it he noted that it was no mistake that he posted the photo. So take that for what it is worth.

- Not sure how this works but Jim Ross is under WWE contract for sporadic appearances and commentary duties if called upon. He was signed despite his deal to announce New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXS. The assumption is that WWE signed him so that he wouldn’t work for any U.K. promotions or Impact and let him keep his AXS deal. But now it looks like he will be signing a new deal to remain as play by play man for New Japan on AXS despite his WWE deal. I cannot imagine WWE being happy about him signing a new contract but I guess they are now ok with it.

- The night before “NXT: Wargames” in Houston, NXT is running a live event in San Antonio going head to head with Ring of Honor who is also running in San Antonio. WWE has announced that the main event of the show will be Drew McIntyre defending the NXT title against Adam Cole. Well they also announced that WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels will be the special referee of the match.

- WWE 2k18 has officially been released. For those of you who have it, how is it?

- In doing promotion for the 2K video game, Sting revealed that he did in fact speak to the Undertaker about working a match at Wrestlemania back in 2015 before he retired but noted that Taker didn’t really let him know how he felt about it one way or another.

- Wrestlemania tickets go on sale on November 17th. But the travel packages including tickets go on sale on Monday, October 30th.

WWE “TLC” PPV is on Sunday, October 22nd, 2017 from Minneapolis Minnesota and the line-up is as follows:

  • Kurt Angle & The Shield (Seth Rollins/Dean Ambrose) vs. The Bar (Shamus & Cesaro)/Braun Strowman/Kane/WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz © with The Miztourage (Curtis Axel) in a TLC MATCH
  • WWE RAW WOMEN’S TITLE: Alexa Bliss © vs. Mickie James
  • Asuka vs. Emma
  • WWE CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE: Kalisto © vs. Enzo Amore
  • “The Demon” Finn Balor vs. "The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles
  • Cedric Alexander & Rich Swann vs. Brian Kendrick & Jack Gallagher
  • Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox
  • GLOBAL FORCE IMPACT WRESTLING NEWS and NOTES:

    - Impact is taping a “One Night Only” show tomorrow in Oklahoma to be used for a future PPV event. Alberto El Patron will be working the show.

    - While on Howard Stern this week promoting his upcoming tour, Billy Corgan noted that he put in $1.8 million of his own money into then TNA and when settling his lawsuit with them has since been paid back the full amount.

    - And this is why I am so against taping shows so far in advance. Jake Crist, one half of the Impact Tag Team Champions broke his foot at an independent show. He is expected to be cleared for the “Bound for Glory” PPV on November 5th but it is possible that he may still miss it. As of right now, he and his brother Dave are scheduled to fight ALL of LAX in a 5150 Street Fight. That means EFBYO, Homicide, Diamante and Konnan.

    - With the new management in place in Anthem and the direction where they are trying to go as a promotion, Impact is looking to repair their relationship with Ring of Honor, for obvious reasons since ROH is legit the #2 promotion in the United States right now and having their best run from both a financial and quality of product standpoint EVER.

Ring of Honor / Lucha Underground / Independent / International News and Notes:

    - After Kenny Omega successfully defended his IWGP U.S. title at ROH’s “Global Wars” iPPV over the weekend, he and his fellow Bullet Club members all entered the ring to celebrate. Kenny Omega and Cody both asked if anyone had a cell phone on them to take a selfie to remember this night. Since everyone was in their gear, no one had a phone so they looked to the crowd to get someone to be able to take a selfie with them and lo and behold, they found JIMMY JACOBS at ringside. Jacobs entered the ring and took a selfie with the group playing off of his WWE firing for taking a selfie with the group a few weeks back.

    - By the way, Omega defended his title without actually having his title as he thought New Japan was bringing it and New Japan thought he was brining it. So no one brought it. He defended a title that wasn’t in Chicago.

    - FYI…tonight on AXS is the Okada vs. Omega match from the G-1 this summer. Jim Ross claims it is one of the best matches he ever announced.

    - The show opened with a Cody promo in which he took shots at Roman Reigns and noted that he wears a vest because of his gut and to hide his drug test failures. The reason for the comment is that Cody earlier in the week claimed that he was responsible for the best drawing run in ROH history as the last two ROH PPV’s had great buy rates. He then ended the promo saying he was the biggest star in wrestling today. Reigns, just a few hours before the ROH PPV went on the air tweeted that “He doesn’t even need to see the promo because if he didn’t draw over $100,000 then that’s just silly talk.” which is why Cody responded. In all honesty, WWE is just adding fuel to the fire with all of their shots at the Bullet Club because all it is doing is making them “anti-establishment” and thus giving them more popularity.

    - Based on the success of the Global Wars tour completely selling out all four events, ROH has announced that Kenny Omega will be working the Supercard of Honor show on Wrestlemania weekend in New Orleans.

    - For those wondering, Bully Ray isn’t retiring yet. This is an angle. A good one at that.

    - Best of luck to Mark Briscoe as he suffered a dislocated elbow over the weekend in a match with Hiromu Takahashi which will keep him out of action or 8 – 10 weeks or so. You know an injury is serious to one of the Briscoes when a match is stopped due to it because Mark and Jay both have worked through all sorts of injuries throughout their careers.

    - ROH is following the trend of their competitors as they are looking to launch their own streaming service in the near future. The goal is to launch before the end of 2018.

    - The Bullet Club as implemented “The Bullet Club” rule in Ring of Honor meaning that any combination of the team can defend the ROH Trios titles that were won by The Young Bucks and Hangman Page a.k.a. The “Hung” Bucks.

    - Season 3 of Lucha Underground is officially over as Ultima Lucha 3 took place on Wednesday. There is still no word on a 4th season so essentially Lucha Underground could be DONE and Wednesday night was the SERIES finale.

    - With the finale, both Ricochet a.k.a. Prince Puma and Rey Mysterio are no longer contractually obligated to work for the promotion and can begin wrestling on television elsewhere in January 2018. It is believed that Ricochet will start with WWE then.

    - Amazingly enough, all of those who are still under contract to LU have not been paid since the last TV taping which was in 2016. How f*cked up is that? LU prevents talents from working elsewhere but was unable to give incentive to stay with them by paying them anything.

    - Despite getting a big push in recent weeks in Mexico which was leading to a feud with Vampiro, Kevin Kross has quit and is no longer working for AAA.

    - Konnan has set a date in November to undergo his 2nd hip replacement surgery and following that will begin wrestling training with Rey Mysterio for his comeback retirement tour.

    - By all accounts, Flo Slam is done as a streaming service. They terminated their deal with WXW in Germany right before the big WXW Tag Team Tournament. They didn’t tell WXW beforehand. D*ck move by the way.

    - Financially the promotions in Puerto Rico are struggling as one would expect. The island as a whole still has not recovered from the devastating hurricane that hit a few weeks ago and they are unable to run shows until many other priorities get back to order, you know, such as clean water!!

    - A last minute rush in ticket sales once it was announced that Penta OM was working the show has sold out tonight’s PWG show including standing room only. This was the first show in several years that did not sell out in 5 minutes or less when tickets went on sale. There were thoughts that it wouldn’t be a sellout but it did.

    - Jimmy Jacobs booked his first independent show for November 12th and he will be returning to wrestling full time. He will be wrestling for “Beyond Wrestling” in Massachusetts. I fully expect him to eventually return to Ring of Honor at some point down the road.

    MMA News and Notes:

    - With only two weeks away, I don’t know if this is just him “building” the fight or if he is 100% serious but UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping has been going on tangents saying he is wholly convinced that George St. Pierre has used steroids in his career despite no evidence to the contrary. If anyone knows anything about GSP, that is the only thing that can get under his skin since he has been so vocally against PEDs in MMA.

    - UFC is estimating anywhere between 500,000 PPV buys to 900,000 PPV buys. My gut feeling based on his old popularity, his place in history in the sport, the fact that it is MSG and the fact that he is fighting for a title, the PPV will be on the higher end of the spectrum and may surpass 1,000,000 buys. Not only that but if Conor McGregor does in fact end up fighting on the December 30th show (and that is a BIG if) then UFC will have salvaged the year on PPV from what has been a disappointing 2017 from a buy rate perspective following 2016 which was their biggest year ever.

    - Dana White, when asked about a possible GSP vs. Conor McGregor fight down the road, White noted that they are 18 months to 2 years away from making that happen due to contractual obligations for GSP. If GSP wins, he HAS to defend the title against Robert Whitaker and they cannot let Conor sit out longer than he already has. GSP was asked while on the promotional tour if he would fight McGregor and he replied that he would be honored to do it but only if UFC or McGregor came to him for it. It is not a fight he would ask for based on the size difference.

    - Speaking of McGregor, his documentary “Conor McGregor: Notorious” will be released in theaters for one day only on November 8th. The documentary will cover his life before MMA where he was just breaking in and on welfare all the way up to present day with his $100,000,000 payday against Floyd Mayweather.

    - I am not even sure she was thinking before she typed but Cris “Cyborg” Justino is complaining via social media that she has been tested 3 times by USADA in the past month and wants to know if Holly Holm is being tested as much mainly because of the gym she trains at i.e. she is in the same training camp as Jon Jones insinuating that Holm is likely on something because JacksonWink camp is the UFC leader in failed tests as a camp. Pot meet kettle?

    - For the record, USADA records for tests are public and Holm retorted that she has been tested 9 times in the past year while Cyborg has been tested only 8.

    - Former WWE star CM Punk is currently in training camp for his next fight even though no date has been given nor opponent named.

    - What a rollercoaster for Julianna Pena. She was a major women’s prospect before suffering a catastrophic injury in training back in 2014 when one of her male training partners in camp purposely injured her causing to miss over a year of fighting. She came back from her injury and won 3 in a row before losing to Valentina Shevchenko in her most recent fight in January. She was expected to make a comeback and is ranked 3rd overall in UFC Women’s Bantamweight Division but…she will now be out of action for over a year as she is pregnant with her first child. At age 28, she can still mount a successful MMA comeback but missing 18 months with a knee injury and then another year off so close together could be detrimental to her fighting skills. She did note that she will fight again.

    - For those who are HUGE MMA fans, UFC will be running every weekend starting tomorrow with a Fight Pass show for the next 11 consecutive weekends.

    - UFC is targeting an Edson Barboza vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov fight for the UFC 219 show on December 30th. Barboza has signed the contract already and UFC is waiting on Khabib.

    - The fight 20 years too late took place in Japan last weekend with Frank Shamrock and Kazushi Sakuraba went to a 10 minute draw in a grappling contest. Neither was able to take their opponent down to the ground.

    - Ian McCall has signed with Rizin in Japan. He requested and was granted his release from UFC just one week ago.

    - Royce Gracie’s son Khoury made his MMA debut last week in Memphis. He won via decision.

    - John Gotti III makes his MMA debut on October 27th in Rhode Island. Yes, THAT John Gotti. He is the grandfather of John Gotti.

    - Alberto El Patron is still an ambassador and the “face” of Combate Americas despite stepping down as President last month. He is doing promotional work for the company but no longer has any input.

You’re the jerkoff who killed a cop. I say you got off easy. Secondly, I still will never understand the issue with needing to be “humane” when putting someone to death. It is mind blowing. They are STILL getting off easier than they should. They should suffer when dying. F*ck all that nonsense.

    - Director Quentin Tarantino admitted today that he knew more than most about Harvey Weinstein and that he should have and could have done more to prevent it. The flip side to the story is that director Kevin Smith said he is ashamed that Weinstein was doing all that he was doing and he feels bad from earning money due to Weinstein so he noted that from now on, all residuals from all his films associated with Weinstein will go to a battered women’s charity going forward.

    - Netflix and Marvel has announced that November 17th will be the release date of “The Punisher”. I am stoked for this.

    - Looks like we may not get anymore “Honest Trailers” from Screen Junkies as creator, Andy Signore, has been FIRED by Defy Media for sexual harassment in the workplace.

    - 20th Century Fox is sure on a roll as both “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” and “Deadpool 2” have wrapped production this week. So essentially they are done filming and now just have to CGI and add music/effects to them.

    - Marvel’s “The Inhumans” are bleeding viewers. The premiere episode had 3.8 million viewers and the show has lost over 1 million viewers since the debut as they are now down to 2.3 million viewers. Terrible.

    - The CW’s “Arrow-verse” has been off to a good start so far. Yes, I do feel like the debut of Arrow was a cop out since no one of note died and more should have been done with the PTSD although I am ok with Diggle being permanently injured as they revealed this week but I do like where the story is going. I thought Oliver’s son was going to be a huge damper on the show but so far they are handling it well. I am also ok with Anatoli being one of the villains this season. Good conflict there. The Flash is cool so far although I am waiting for the bottom to drop out of his life. If there is no follow-up story to his 6 months of being in the speed force and he is just back to normal like nothing happened then I will be pissed. It all can’t just be roses like he was never gone. That would be lame. Legends is Legends; it is a fun show and exactly what it is needed to be. It isn’t the best of the batch but it is worth watching. To be honest though, Supergirl has been the most consistent show. Kara and company are the only ones still reeling from the events of last season. I like it.

    - Awesome name drop by Oliver Queen in the first few minutes of Arrow this week. I really hope it leads to a guest appearance somewhere down the line; even if he isn’t in costume.

    - “This Is Us” is really a great show.

    - Up to season 3 of Blue Bloods. Again, I wish I would have watched from the beginning. A solid show although disappointed that Jennifer Esposito was written off and I did a little background check and did not realize that her leaving the show was such a big story at the time in Hollywood. It was a nasty split.

    - Thor: Ragnarok opens next weekend. I am stoked. I am probably going to see it on Saturday at some point.
