T.G.I.F. with Matt Dawgs: #421

Good day to you all and welcome to We Want Insanity. I am your host for today, Matt Dawgs and this is my column. Today is the end of the work week and the time to look back at all the goings-on over the past seven days as I wrap it up with a bow and spout it out bit by bit. Buckle up. Enjoy the ride.

IMPORTANT MATT NOTE:: I am hoping that you readers have taken the time to lend a hand and donated to the JAIDAN STRONG cause for me. I’d really appreciate it if you did; as little as $5 can go a long way. If not, it isn’t a big deal but please at least SHARE THE LINK. I get that finances can be tough for some but taking the time to share a link via your social media doesn’t cost a dime. I’d appreciate it greatly as one of your friends or family members may be able to help out. Thanks.

BONUS MATT NOTE: Usually there is no T.G.I.F. the week of Thanksgiving. I just wanted to give you a heads up that odds are, there will NOT be one next week either. However, with that being said, Survivor Series IS this coming Sunday and it is by far the most stacked show they’ve had since Mania last year. So….I may just decide to do one or split one if James Bullock is available. I am undecided as of this writing.

- BREAKING NEWS from earlier today that could become a major news story, Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson has filed an order of protection against her husband, WWE Star David Otunga and has police escort him from their home. Hudson is in the process of trying to legally separate from Otunga and file for divorce. Otuna’s attorney is claiming that Hudson is making up stories about him in a plan to gain sole custody of their son David Otunga Jr. due to the fact that Otunga has been the primary care giver for the child as Hudson has been traveling the world with her career. Otunga would likely be the “residential parent” meaning that the child would live with him. The couple have been together for 10 years now. Otunga is still in fact employed by WWE despite not wrestling in several years as his last match was in 2015. He has been used as a panelist on PPV pre-shows and has done some legal work for the promotion.

- A little more shuffling of the Survivor Series PPV took place this week as on RAW, Triple H made his return to television (if you don’t count NXT or the Mae Young Classic) and replaced Jason Jordan in the main event of the PPV for Team Raw. He also laid out Jason Jordan with a pedigree in front of Kurt Angle which was planted seed #1 in the build up to their Wrestlemania match. It also laid the groundwork for what is obviously the beginning of the Jordan heel turn. Also, on Smackdown, as I noted was likely going to happen last week, Charlotte captured the WWE Smackdown Women’s title from Natalya and will now take on Alexa Bliss Sunday at Survivor Series. Her win also marked the return of Ric Flair to WWE television following his health scare. He came out to “surprise” her on stage and congratulate her on the win. He got an ENORMOUS reaction since they were in Charlotte North Carolina.

- Raw and Smackdown this week were the best “go-home” shows WWE have held in a very long time. Both shows had very little to complain about and were good from both angle and in-ring action. I think Survivor Series has the potential to be HUGE for WWE this year based on the build up for it.

- The opening of RAW once again had Stephanie McMahon cutting the balls off of one of the top babyfaces, this time Kurt Angle. Look, I get it, they don’t do much man on woman violence anymore. PG, blah blah blah. But come on, you cannot have your babyfaces getting their balls cut off by Stephanie as much as they do. I am glad that Roman Reigns didn’t take it but they have to pick and choose. Angle should NOT have been on the list of those who she can sh*t all over. That list is a lot shorter than it should be. Again, as I always mention, Austin vs. McMahon would have NEVER worked if Vince would brow beat Austin like Stephanie does to everyone week after week. Could you imagine Austin just standing there and taking it up the ass from Vince as he emasculated him on television?

- Now with that being said, while I don’t agree with Stephanie making Angle look like a woman, she did in fact bring up a ton of good points in her promo. Jordan gets selected for Team Raw and then Shane picks John Cena to replace A.J.? That kind of makes Angle look real dumb considering Cena was on RAW the last time we saw him. Poor General Managing.

- Roman Reigns got a pop; a loud one at that. Being back with the Shield has been incredibly beneficial to him and he absolutely needs to stay a part of the group. They should NOT break them up anytime soon and if they do, it should only be because they are turning Roman on Ambrose and Rollins. He is back to being over as a member of the group. There is a ton of money with them as a unit. Don’t blow it this time.

- Please rehab Bayley. She did get a pop for making the Women’s team on RAW but she is still nowhere near as popular as she was when she debuted.

- What is the point of Miz vs. Corbin at SS? I get that it is secondary title vs. secondary title but Miz has been wiping the floor with him on promos and no one is going to care about the match because they are both despicable heels that aren’t liked. It isn’t as if Corbin is a heel that is popular and cheered like Samoa Joe. He is a guy who people hate and Miz is the biggest despised heel in the company. The crowd is going to be sitting on their hands on Sunday.

- For those wondering why Cesaro is cutting promos with his mouthpiece in, it is because it is a WWE directive because he had braces put in to repair the damage to his teeth. They don’t want braces.

- The Jordan heel turn is coming. Maybe as soon as Sunday as he should cause Angle or HHH to be eliminated. Otherwise his crying like a spoiled baby about being replaced is a MURDERER of his career.

- Props to the guy who proposed to his girlfriend in the middle of Paul Heyman’s promo. Yes it was a cheesy thing to but now he can air that audio clip at his wedding including Heyman’s response and you now have a memorable wedding moment for life.

- Have I ever mentioned how awesome Heyman is at selling a match via promo? I think I may have mentioned it once or twice.

- The Shield is so over as a group and they put their matches together excellently. Also noteworthy is how underrated Sheamus and Cesaro as a unit are. They have managed to form a damn solid team.

- Remember when I said Stephanie cut Angle’s balls off to open the show? Well HHH hitting his “son” with the pedigree while he stood there speechless was the equivalent of taking said balls and putting them in a hole, taking a sh*t on them and then covering them with dirt. Holy sh*t has Angle been made to look like a big p*ssy or what?

- Joe and Balor as a team were booked perfectly. I am hoping they have a lengthy feud once Survivor Series is done.

- The show closing angle of Strowman MURDERING Kane with a powerslam through the mat was gold. WWE has to be careful though because they are legit running out of stunts for Strowman to do or have done to him. It becomes way too cartoony when it is overused.

- Is Fashion Files ever going to have a resolution? Dead horse being beat alert.

- Shane’s “pep talk” to open Smackdown was by far one of the worst things WWE has put on in 2017. Wow.

- Daniel Bryan cut a passionate promo on Brock Lesnar which absolutely made me get pissed off that we never got Bryan vs. Lesnar like we were supposed to before Bryan was forced into retirement. It was supposed to happen at the Summerslam where Lesnar KILLED Cena with 3,429 suplexes and then pinned him.

- Look, I have made it clear that I like Baron Corbin. I don’t love him like I do some other wrestlers on the roster but I see what WWE sees in him. He has the tools. He has great size and plays the bully role well. Something is missing with him though. There is a disconnect that isn’t working. I don’t know what it is but they need to find it if they want to push him long term. He is far better than Big Cass despite Cass being the better promo. He’s missing a piece of the puzzle and someone needs to work with him to figure it out.

- Natalya is so under appreciated. She is so good in the ring and she and Charlotte had a damn good match this week. It sucks that she isn’t pushed as hard as she should be.

- For those wondering, Ric Flair coming out to congratulate Charlotte was NOT a surprise for her. It was just good acting on her part as she knew he was there. Enzo Amore also spoiled it by posting a picture of them on his social media which likely didn’t further endear him to management since he was the only person who posted a pic of Ric.

- New Day vs. Owens/Zayn was real good. As witnessed by the match and the post-match angle, it doesn’t look like Owens and Zayn will be disciplined further and I actually expect them to cost Team Smackdown the win on Sunday or at least interfere.

- #UnderSiege. Good closing to Smackdown with RAW laying out everyone. As witnessed by the final shot, Angle, The Shield and Strowman are the centerpieces for RAW because they made sure no one else from Team Raw were in the ring.

- To show the strength of the Survivor Series line-up, Direct TV is carrying the PPV on Sunday. This marks the first time Direct TV has carried a WWE PPV since the launch of the Network 3 years ago. Direct TV dumped WWE PPV due to the feeling that they felt WWE was undercutting them by the launch of the Network. This year, WWE PPV actually GREW in revenue from last year meaning that more people paid for traditional PPV showing that WWE is still a draw. Direct TV decided they did not want to miss out and instead are running the show.

- WWE cancelled ONE of their two India shows (The December 8th show) due to low ticket sales. This was likely a factor in removing the title from Jinder Mahal as his run as champion did not move the needle in India one iota. WWE doesn’t see however past the BILLIONS of people who live there is that they are a poor country. They cannot afford WWE type prices as the lowest cost ticket for these shows is $25. You can see a weeks’ worth of Cricket matches in India for that price and Cricket is the number one sport in the country.

- For those of you in fear that A.J. Styles may be losing the WWE title before the December tour of India, WWE has announced that Jinder Mahal will be facing Triple H during the tour. So that will be the main event of the shows thus I do not think that A.J. is losing the title before then. Good stuff.

- WWE is once again picking up steam on a weekly U.K. show to start in early 2018. Triple H met with several potential television partners while in the U.K. during the European tour. WWE has also locked down several venues for tapings in the event they start. Tryouts for several European talents were held in Manchester before television last week.

- James Ellsworth has been wished well on his future endeavors. I have to give major props to him for turning nothing into something. The man had a one year run with the company in a comedy/jobber role. Guarantee that despite being a wrestler for many years, the last year of his life was by far the best time he has ever had in wrestling. He is on a 90 day no compete and can begin working dates on February 2nd.

- Since they are already scheduled to be in the region, they added an extra night in Abu Dhabi which will be headlined by Roman Reigns vs. HHH.

- Chris Jericho made it abundantly clear on Jim Ross’ podcast this week that he would NEVER do anything to jeopardize his relationship with Vince McMahon or WWE. He didn’t go into details but despite no longer being under contract to WWE, he absolutely got Vince’s blessing before agreeing to wrestle Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12.

- Paige answered my question from a few weeks ago as she revealed via her Snapchat that she is in fact single. She was backstage at RAW on Monday and is expected to return shortly. There was consideration of making her the 5th person of the women’s team on RAW replacing Bayley but that was nixed. She was drafted to RAW before getting injured but there has also been discussion of moving her to Smackdown upon her return. Odds are she will replace Charlotte on Team Smackdown on Sunday. If it isn’t Paige, it will be Natalya.

- Speaking of returns, Neville is in talks about returning to WWE from his “walk out”. He was never released from the promotion and is still under contract. Cooler heads may prevail when this is all said and done.

- The Bludgeon Brothers aren’t done. I am not sure what the hell is going on because they “debuted” on the first day of the European tour but day 2 were back to their old Wyatt Family gimmick and for the rest of the tour. But as witnessed on Smackdown this week, they are back to Bludgeon Brothers gimmick. Weird.

- Expect the Revival to be back sometime in December as that is when Scott Dawson is expected to be cleared. I hope for their sake that they are done with injuries because even though injuries are a part of wrestling, I cannot see them being pushed if they have to miss a significant amount of time upon returning.

- With Styles winning the title, the “Starrcade” main event has been changed from Jinder Mahal defending against Shinsuke Nakamura in a steel cage to Styles vs. Mahal in the cage. Yep, I know you all expected Styles vs. Nakamura but WWE, despite teasing the match at live events including last week in Europe, are considering it for Mania which would be GINMOURMOUS. If you haven’t seen their one and only New Japan match, do yourself a favor and stop reading this right now, CLICK THIS LINK and WATCH IT. Then you can come back and finish the column. Go ahead, I will wait here.

- Daniel Bryan is also one step closer to returning as in an interview last week he confirmed that there is an 85% chance that he is returning to wrestling and a 20% chance that it will be for the WWE. He noted that if there is any test that says with 100% certainty that he shouldn’t come back to wrestle, he won’t. He also noted that if he comes back to WWE, it will NOT be a full time schedule.

- Former WWE star Rob Conway was a guest trainer at the Performance Center this week.

- Dustin Rhodes NOT in his Goldust character will be ringside for War Games tomorrow night to honor his father Dusty since he created the War Games concept.

- By the way, while I have no sources to corroborate this, I fully believe WWE will use the concept on the main roster at some point as I do not see them spending money on building a cage/structure just for NXT. That couldn’t have been cheap.

- Triple H did reveal on the conference call yesterday that War Games will NOT have a roof on the cage. He said it was to modernize it and he doesn’t want to limit the talent by hindering their abilities. It will still be a “war” but back in the 80’s, Arn Anderson wasn’t going to try a moonsault from the top of the cage. It’s 2017 and styles are different. He noted that the point of the match is to punish your opponents. No roof can help with that.

- Many within the company are under the impression that Ricochet will debut in NXT in January although with his ability, he really should skip developmental completely and go to the main roster. I can see the benefits of him in NXT though especially if they want a legit touring brand, he could be the centerpiece.

- His longtime girlfriend Tessa Blanchard, daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Tully Blanchard is also set to join NXT full time as she wrestled her final Shimmer show last weekend.

- I could see a possible return here down the line but Jonathan Coachman a.k.a. The Coach has been let go by ESPN. He was let go a while back (about 6 – 8 months ago) but it was never made public. He did note that he has something planned with WWE soon but didn’t go into details. I expect him to show up on the WWE Network at some point doing something but not on Raw or Smackdown in his old role.

- Former WWE star Justin Credible revealed that he is clean and sober following WWE sponsored rehab which he recently completed. He thanked WWE for their help and said he feels better than he has in several years as he was in a bad downward spiral that had WWE not helped him with, he wouldn’t be here.

- While I am not sure if these two things are connected or not, both Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have been teasing something big coming up. Bischoff was named co-owner and director of wrestling operations for a small independent promotion in Cleveland that I’ve never heard of. I don’t think that is what they are aiming at though. Unless they are talking about that and their definition of “game changer” is different than mine.

- To show you how much Wrestlemania has grown into a phenomenon, a business study in Orlando has shown that the city of Orlando saw a local economic impact of $181.5 million last year due to Mania last year. By comparison, the last time they were in Orlando for Mania week was 2008 and the economic impact for the city was $50 million. HUGE DIFFERENCE in the 9 years in between.

- If you haven’t seen the Goldberg 24/7 on the Network yet, do yourself a favor and make time. It was well done. WWE never fails to disappoint on their documentaries.

- Speaking of documentaries, Ric Flair’s 30 for 30 was excellent and depressing all at the same time. As great as he was and as much of a legend as he has become, it is sad to see that he can’t enjoy normal life without wrestling. He should be retired comfortably somewhere with millions of dollars in the bank and instead continues to be “Ric Flair” instead of Richard Fleihr. It is a shame.

- Speaking of Flair, he is suing his former talent agency that he fired as soon as he was awake from his health crisis, Legacy Talent and Entertainment claiming that they had taken a lot of his money after he hired a lawyer to investigate.

NXT TAKEOVER: WAR GAMES HOUSTON is TOMORROW NIGHT from Houston Texas and the line-up is as follows:

  • WAR GAMES: The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole/Bobby Fish/Kyle O’Reilly) vs. SAnitY (Eric Young/Alexander Wolfe/Killian Dain) vs. The Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) & Roderick Strong w/Paul Ellering

  • NXT WOMEN’S TITLE FINALS: Ember Moon vs. Kairi Sane vs. Nikki Cross vs. Peyton Royce w/Billie Kay
  • Alestair Black vs. Velveteen Dream
  • Kassius Ohno vs. Lars Sullivan
  • WWE U.K. TITLE: Pete Dunne © vs. Johnny Gargano
  • WWE SURVIVOR SERIES PPV is THIS SUNDAY from Houston Texas and the line-up is as follows:

  • WWE UNIVERSAL CHAMPION: Brock Lesnar © w/Paul Heyman vs. WWE CHAMPION: A.J. Styles ©
  • RAW VS. SMACKDOWN WOMEN’S ELIMINATION MATCH: Team Raw (Kurt Angle/Triple H/Samoa Joe/Braun Strowman/Finn Balor) vs. Team Smackdown (Shane McMahon/Randy Orton/Shinsuke Nakamura/Bobby Roode/John Cena)

  • WWE CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE: Enzo Amore © vs. Kalisto

    - Add “Cowboy” James Storm as the latest departure from the promotion. His contract expired and due to the cost of his deal, he was not renewed. I could see him going back to NXT for significantly less than he got but I am also not sure on the terms in which he left. For those of you who remember, he debuted on NXT TV to a HUGE reaction since they were in Orlando, got a win and then left to go back to TNA for a huge money deal said to be around $200,000 per year.

    - In case you didn’t notice, they did NOT announce a Hall of Famer at Bound For Glory this year. The new inductee was supposed to be Jeff Jarrett but he was let go from the promotion right before the event. Mike Tenay was asked but he declined. So they essentially had no one else to induct.

Ring of Honor / Lucha Underground / Independent / International News and Notes:

    - Simon Grimm a.k.a. the former Simon Gotch in WWE debuted for Ring of Honor last weekend in Lakeland Florida.

    - I can’t see how his current style fits with ROH but JOEY RYAN will be challenging Kenny King for the ROH TV title at Survival of the Fittest tonight in San Antonio. WOW. LOL.

    - Following this weekend’s shows in Texas, ROH is off until Final Battle on December 15th.

    - Chris Jericho and his agent Barry Bloom are working to get Wrestle Kingdom 12 on traditional PPV in the United States.

    - Evolve will be on a brief hiatus as they have 2 shows in December and then have no shows booked until Wrestlemania weekend in April.

    - Lucha Underground is targeting March, April and May for their season 4 taping dates with no release date set yet. There will be less shows than the past few seasons however.

    - Congrats to The Crash booker Konnan as he has been named head writer for a new lucha promotion planning on running in the United States called Arolucha which is being financially backed by Aroluxe a.k.a the promotion that tried to buy TNA last year.

    - Despite him not officially announcing anything, it is for certain that Ricochet is WWE bound as last weekend he fulfilled his final Dragon Gate commitments and they did a farewell ceremony for him. It was a moving ceremony with the entire Dragon Gate roster wishing him well and cutting promos. Dragon Gate Owner Takeshi Okamura noted that he offered to put Ricochet up in a 4 star hotel and pay for his accommodations and transportation while in Japan to which Ricochet refused and instead slept in the Dragon Gate dojo where he also trained with the roster and the young boys and took the bus with the roster to the shows. So not only is WWE getting a great in ring performer but they are getting a great man of character.

    - I cannot say this is the smartest idea but Tomoaki Honma, despite breaking his neck on March 3rd due to taking a draping DDT and having to learn to walk again, was back training and taking bumps this week in Japan. He vowed to step back into a ring and wrestle again.

ROH “FINAL BATTLE” PPV is on Saturday, December 15th, 2017 from New York City and the line-up is as follows:

  • ROH TITLE: Cody © vs. Dalton Castle
  • The Briscoes (Mark & Jay) vs. Bully Ray & Tommy Dreamer IN A STREET FIGHT
  • ROH TV TITLE: Kenny King © vs. Punishment Martinez vs. Silas Young vs. Shane Taylor
  • Marty Scurll vs. Jay Lethal
  • The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) vs. War Machine (Hanson & Rowe)
  • ROH TAG TEAM TITLES: The Motor City Machine Guns © (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelly) vs. The Kingdom (Matt Taven & T.K. O’Ryan) vs. Chuckie T & Trent Baretta
  • NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING’S WRESTLE KINGDOM 12 is on Sunday, January 4th, 2018 from Tokyo Japan and the line-up is as follows:

  • IWGP WORLD TITLE: Kazuchika Okada © vs. Tetsuya Naito
  • IWGP INTERCONTINENAL TITLE: Hiroshi Tanahashi © vs. Switchblade Jay White)
  • IWGP UNITED STATES TITLE: “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega © vs. “Lionheart” Chris Jericho
  • ROH WORLD TITLE: Cody © (Should he still be champion) vs. Kota Ibushi
  • IWGP JUNIOR TITLE: Marty Scurll © vs. Will Ospreay vs. KUSHIDA vs. Hiromu Takahashi
  • IWGP JUNIOR TAG TEAM TITLES: Roppongi 3K (Sho & Yoh) © vs. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson)
  • MMA News and Notes:

    - So it appears that Conor McGregor’s boxing career may not be over yet. Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya noted in an interview that he has been training for the past 5 months or so and is interested in boxing against Conor McGregor. While that will have nowhere near the level of interest that Conor vs. Floyd did, it will have a ton more interest than any other boxing fight that could possibly take place. It also will NOT draw 4 million PPV buys but Oscar coming out of retirement and Conor’s gift of gab could get it about 2 million PPV buys and make Conor another 30 – 50 million to go on top of his 100 million for fighting Floyd. I can say with almost 100% certainty that if the fight should happen, Conor would be absolutely done with MMA as he will never need to work again. De La Hoya noted that he will knock out Conor within 2 rounds and did make it clear that Conor would completely DESTROY him if they fought in MMA. So it isn’t as if he is claiming he can beat Conor at his own game.

    - McGregor did in fact issue a lengthy apology for his behavior at Bellator last week and gave an explanation of the events from his perspective which made him feel he was justified. Referee Marc Goddard accepted his apology and noted that he hopes no action is taken against McGregor for it.

    - With Anderson Silva being flagged by USADA for a potential out of competition doping violation, Former UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping has volunteered to replace him at the UFC Fight Night in Shanghai on November 25th against Kelvin Gastelum. That is WAY SHORT NOTICE for Bisping as it is only a 3 week turnaround from his loss to new UFC Middleweight Champion George St. Pierre. WOW. Bisping volunteered since it is UFC’s debut in mainland China and he didn’t want the show to lose viewers since it needed a “name” to replace Silva. It doesn’t hurt that he gets paid 6 figures per fight either.

    - Bisping noted that he does in fact plan on retiring from fighting soon and wants to retire on the UFC London show on March 17th 2018.

    - As an FYI on Silva, since it was an out of competition test, the substance he was popped for will NEVER be revealed unless he reveals it. UFC and USADA only reveal failed substances when it is a during competition test.

    - Last week I noted that my brother and cousin were attending what appeared to be a damn good card on paper from an action standpoint in Norfolk. Well that show has come and gone and boy did it deliver. In the main event, Dustin Poirier submitted Anthony Pettis. Pettis tapped due to what was he claimed was a broken rib he suffered upon being taken down in round 3 of what was a WAR. Matt Brown KILLED Diego Sanchez in violent fashion with what was one of, it not THE most vicious elbow I have ever seen connect on someone.

    - UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic is currently in talks with UFC about renegotiating his contract. He has been refusing to defend the UFC Heavyweight title after finding out that he was grossly underpaid for his title defense against Alistair Overeem in Cleveland despite him 100% being the draw for that show since it is his home town.

    - UFC is negotiating for a Tyrone Woodley Welterweight title defense against NATE DIAZ for UFC 219 on December 30th.

    - Cris “Cyborg” Justino defending the UFC Women’s Featherweight title against Holly Holm at UFC 219 has been made official for the show.

    - Colby Covington continues to make news this week as in an interview where the subject of Jon Jones came up, Covington noted that Jones is the biggest f*ck up in the history of sports. He then noted that he roomed with Jones for 2 years in junior college and that he isn’t surprised one bit that Jones f*cks up as much as he does. He then later got into an incident with Fabricio Werdum based off of his comments in Brazil following his last fight. Werdum hit Covington in the face with a boomerang and allegedly threw a punch at him.

    - Takanori Gomi has been released by UFC. He was on a five fight LOSING streak and they were all first round losses.

    - They also let go of Carlos Felipe. He had never fought in UFC before but was a top heavyweight prospect. Problem is, he failed a drug test before his first fight.

    - Bellator MMA has signed Jake Hager best known as Jack Swagger from his time in WWE to a contract. Hager signed a 3 year, 6 fight deal with the promotion.

    - The Bellator Heavyweight Tournament is penciled in to begin on January 20th head to head with a UFC Fight Night. No word on the brackets yet with the exception of Frank Mir vs. Fedor Emelianenko scheduled for round one. It is a single elimination tournament which is supposed to last for a year culminating in the crowning of the new Bellator MMA Heavyweight Champion in December 2018.

    - My guess is that if he wins a few fights between January and December in impressive fashion, you can have Swagger confront the winner in the cage.

    - Mirko Cro Cop Filopovic is once again coming out of retirement. He will be fighting for Rizin at the end of December either on the 12/29 or New Year’s Eve shows

UFC 218 is on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 from Detroit Michigan and the line-up is as follows:

  • UFC FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE: Max Holloway © vs. Jose Aldo
  • Henry Cejudo vs. Sergio Pettis
  • Alistair Overeem vs. Francis Ngannou
  • Eddie Alvarez vs. Justin Gaethje
  • UFC ON FOX is on Saturday, December 16th, 2017 from Winnipeg Canada and the line-up is as follows:

  • Robbie Lawler vs. Rafael dos Anjos
  • Ricardo Lamas vs. TBD
  • Glover Teixeira vs. Misha Cirkunov
  • Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Jared Cannnonier
  • Tim Elliott vs. Justin Scoggins
  • Chad Laprise vs. Galore Bofando
  • John Makdessi vs. Abel Trujillo
  • UFC 219 is on Saturday, December 30th, 2017 from Las Vegas Nevada and the line-up is as follows:

  • UFC WOMEN’S FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE: Cris “Cyborg” Justino © vs. Holly Holm
  • Jimmie Rivera vs. TBD
  • Cynthia Cavillo vs. Carla Esparza
  • Carlos Condit vs. Neil Magny
  • Edson Barboza vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov

    - BONUS Random ARTICLE of the week: Floodgates are going to pour open now. I said it when the Weinstein story broke. If John Travolta gets named by one person because of this, hundreds are going to come out. So here it is. Let’s see how many accusations occur going forward. PS – this is going to suck for the Gotti movie as I am looking forward to it and would hate for it to never be released.

    - BONUS Random ARTICLE of the week PART 1: And in this week’s random shooting spree……sigh.

    - BONUS Random ARTICLE of the week PART 2: So this is a fairly big deal and kind of sucky due to the lack of security shown by this hospital. How it even got this far is mind blowing.

    - BONUS Random ARTICLE of the week PART 3: Well known that I am not a fan of his work as POTUS but I would absolutely take a job to make sure sh*t like this doesn’t make social media. Honestly, did he just copy and paste? What the f*ck? He has an entire STAFF of people to make sure sh*t like this doesn’t happen. How do tweets like this get sent off without 25 different people approving first? Cancel his Twitter goddamn it!!!!

    - BONUS Random ARTICLE of the week PART 4: I remember this story as if it were yesterday. It is crazy to think that it was 18 years ago and crazier to see that Rae Carruth is being released next year. WOW.

    - BONUS Random ARTICLE of the week PART 5: Don’t know who this “famous” person is and it is sad that he died, especially so young, but honestly he bragged about doing all sorts of drugs and legitimately posted an Instagram picture with two pills on his tongue a few hours before his death. How is ANYONE remotely close to this guy shocked by his death? Seriously, doing tons of drugs, what did they think was gonna happen?

    - BONUS Random ARTICLE of the week PART 6: Uh….I’m no doctor but I cannot see how this will possibly be successful on a human person.

    - BONUS Random ARTICLE of the week PART 7: So this is happening right now in Manhattan. Eek.

    - I am 2 episodes into Netflix’s “The Punisher” and I am ALL IN. Fantastic so far. Glad they got it right, so far; and I hope they don’t f*ck it up.

    - The dominoes keep falling in tinsel town as Andrew Kreisberg, executive producer of the Arrow-verse and show runner for both Supergirl and The Flash has been suspended indefinitely for sexual harassment claims following 11 women coming forward claiming the abuse. This may be causing friction in the Arrow universe as Arrow co-show runner Marc Guggenheim effectively defended his fellow producer by tweeting about the possibility of “reverse-sexism” going on in Hollywood to which Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity) tweeted: “ To the men who committed harassment, perpetuated rape culture and turn a blind eye by complaining about reverse sexism, you are weak and complicit.” This was shortly AFTER Guggenheim tweeted what he tweeted.

    - 21st Century Fox and Hulu are currently working on a series based on the Hitman video game franchise. Really, this isn’t a hard concept to pull off. They’ve had 2 failed versions of the film. The problem they keep running into is making Agent 47 into a hero. He isn’t. He is a f*cking hitman. It isn’t hard. LOL.

    - It is being strongly rumored that actor Jake Gyllenhal is going to take over the mantle of Batman moving forward following Justice League this weekend. He will likely star in Matt Reeves “The Batman” film.

    - I am trying to fit in Justice League this weekend and will let you know my thoughts in my next column.

    - For those of you who watch NBC’s “This Is Us”, this week’s episode was fantastic.
