The Bad Girls Club Season 16 - Episode 12: Reunion (Part 2)
By James Bullock Dec 16, 2016 - 9:26 AM
Previously on The Bad Girls Club: The season sixteen reunion began rather friendly as Kandyce apologized for insulting Brynesha’s children, Stephanie showed off her twerking skills, and host Tanisha allowed a rather belligerent Adryan test out her throne. Then Kaila & Tabatha arrived and all hell broke loose as Kaila violently went after Kandyce.
Episode 12 – Reunion: Part 2
The episode picked up right where the last left off as Kaila made the first strike against Kandyce in their latest round.
It was an all out battle that ended with security coming between the two and forcing Kaila to the back with Tabatha & Adryan in tow. When things settle down, Kandyce explains she is unscathed from Kaila’s actions and her attacker is the equivalent of a Hefty trash bag (John Cena approved). Co-host Erica Mena spends her time backstage trying to calm Kaila down and explain how she needs to tell her story without being caught off guard with anger. Changing her ripped clothes, Kaila returns with her fellow Bad Girls to explain how she’s upset over Kandyce’s social media bullying.
Speaking of bullying, Tanisha expresses her disgust with Tabatha’s actions toward Kailie. Understanding where Tanisha’s coming from, “The Original Dreamdoll” starts verbally digging a hole for herself as she says Kailie is not on her level and she shouldn’t have entertained the idea of abusing her. Kandyce leads the crusade in making Tabatha understand how disrespectful she is in thinking she’s better than someone. In Tabatha’s defense comes Adryan. Instantly, Tanisha tries to check Adryan, leading to an argument.
Adryan starts rising and Tanisha tries to figure why this girl is suddenly advancing on her. Security runs between Tanisha and Adryan when the host gets up and forces the latter off stage as Tanisha wishes her well in the future before apologizing to everyone for losing her cool. On the opposite end of spectrum is Adryan trying to explain herself to the producers and getting kicked out in the process.
With order restored it’s time to take a look back on the instances where Kaila, Tabatha & Adryan abused Kailie.
Kandyce becomes understandably upset over what she witnessed. After another argument between Kandyce & Kaila, Kabrina steps up and informs Tabatha of her less than humble nature.
When Tabatha tries to defend her rather shallow nature in association with social media, the stage-wide argument sends Tanisha heading for the figurative hills to catch a breather and figure out if she actually has what it takes to control these women as a host. Tanisha decides that Kandyce & Kabrina can head backstage and talk with Erica while Tanisha tries to figure out Kaila and her actions toward Brynesha when they were planning on getting rid of her alongside Kailie. Brynesha explains that while she’s cool with Kaila, she still feels disrespected over what went down in the house – a house that, according to Kaila made her petty and a stereotypical Bad Girl. Backstage is Kabrina & Kandyce, hearing them express their lack of understanding as to why someone could struggle on the come up like Tabatha, but have her nose in the air so strongly. Tabatha is somewhat of a lightning rod of controversy as Zee recounts her initial fight with Brynesha that was instigated by Tabatha. When Zee actually gives Tabatha a pass and takes the blame for being coerced, Tabatha insults Zee by calling her a follower, disrespecting the dead by calling her “Geoffrey” from “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”, and stating Zee did her dirty work.
Tanisha decides that since Zee and Tabatha are arguing over how they treated Kailie it’s time for Kailie to make her appearance onstage. After reliving Tabatha’s last night in the house where she dropkicked Kailie and was evicted from the season, Kaila apologizes for the incident … but still feels justified while calling the initial tossing of Kailie out of the house as a prank. Kaila refuses to accept what she did was bullying. When Tanisha sees this conversation is going nowhere, Elliadria gets the “welcome to the stage” treatment. Elliadria shocks a lot of people that her and Kaila are cool now. Tanisha flips the emotional script by bringing up Elliadria’s past about being raped. Tears are shed, hugs dished out and it seems things are going to end on a good note as Kandyce & Kabrina are brought back out for the wrap up segment featuring a video montage of the more hilarious moments from the season including this one.
Everyone gets up smiling and embracing. Then Kandyce makes her way across the stage, snatching Tabatha!
It is pure insanity as security tries to separate the two, Kandyce tears Tabatha’s dress, and Elliadria declares how weak Kandyce is for attacking her from behind. As Tabatha is literally dragged backstage, Kandyce gives some parting words.
It’ll be interesting to see if season seventeen can outdo its predecessor.
Episode High(s): What a night. The BGC reunion episodes usually go one of two ways – either mostly tamed where almost all the girls get along or at least be civil, or the buck wild type of reunion where anything can happen. This season’s reunion culminated in that latter thanks to bookend fights (both featuring Kandyce), arguments aplenty, and even the host almost getting touched. There have been some entertaining reunions over the last few seasons, but this one ranks near the top of the list thanks to this episode alone – right up there with my personal favorite, season nine’s epic reunion.
Episode Low(s): What if… Really the only lowlight of this episode wasn’t what happened on screen, but the potential of what could’ve if one thing occurred: Adryan was let back onstage. Adryan was a ball of fire and directed a lot of her attitude toward Tanisha. With everything that went down throughout the show, only Adryan was removed. The big “what if” featuring Adryan returning and potentially burying the hatchet or starting something with Tanisha again will never be answered; and it’s a little disappointing Adryan’s time in the BGC spotlight ended on such a low note.

Favorite BG of the Week: Kandyce. Yes, she got off pretty easy in regards to her disrespecting Brynesha’s children and, to a certain extent, stuck her nose in business that didn’t involve her (the situation between Kailie and Kaila), but that ending she provided was absolutely surprising and one of the highlights of the entire series.
Episode Summary in Five Words or Less: Wearing out your welcome.
