Episode 4 – Squad Goals
It’s obvious the house is growing more divided and it isn’t even about coasts as Kiyanna & Francesca (east coast) and Sayyora (west coast) found themselves on solid ground together; feeling as if they’ve witnessed some major bullying. Keyaira returns home stating she’s upset with herself for letting her focus on her music career be lost in the nonsense. Seven, however, comes back to the house with the thought of eventually fighting Kiyanna.
It doesn’t take long before the peace ends when Francesca jumps into a conversation with the “bullies” of the house that has nothing to do with anything (them talking about how they all feel like lab rats being filmed). What comes from it is an argument where Keyaira & Seven do their best to walk away, but mouths keep flapping. When Kiyanna tries to settle the situation, she gets cussed out, too. Thankfully for Keyaira, she has the ability to step away and work on her music. Francesca has her post-BGC experience career in mind as well, making calls to a professional “Hype Coach” that apparently trains hype men & women. Flava Flav should be making millions of dollars coaching. The next day arrives and Kiyanna finds one of her possible two Red Bulls missing. When Francesca calls Keyaira a bully for ignoring Kiyanna’s questioning, Deshayla speaks up for her people with the possible wearing out Francesca. But Deshayla isn’t sure about what to do, so she calls her mom. Mom’s advice?
Deshayla confronts Francesca and has the nerve to spit on her. That’s not only grounds for a beating, but that’s a letdown for a fellow VA native. Francesca quickly makes Deshayla pay.
After security breaks up the two, Francesca gets in Seven’s face. Seven gives her fair warning, but Francesca isn’t hearing any of it and proceeds to start something. Kiyanna decides to rush Seven when security tries to separate Seven & Francesca during their quick scuffle.
The foolishness fades away when Susan finds out her sister’s best friend passed away. The news leaves Susan questioning whether or not she should stay. The girls go out in hopes of making Susan feel a bit better when Kiyanna mocks her for being upset when she too lost someone very close to her not too long ago (in Kiyanna’s case her grandmother). A bunch of trash talking comes from this situation and, shockingly, Deshayla apologizing to Francesca in hopes of maybe showing everyone things can be settled like adults. Then Francesca kicks over the figurative bucket by joining Kiyanna in calling out Susan and saying something very disgusting about Susan’s husband. While Keyaira goes to the rerecording studio to spit that hot fire, Susan plans to beat down Francesca for bringing her husband’s name into their argument the night before so she can be sent home. All of Susan’s talk ends anticlimactically as she warns Francesca about what’s coming, but does nothing but stand and stare at her target … menacingly.
The BGC producers send Susan to a hotel for the night because she was ready to stab Francesca with a comb if Fran got close enough to her. The next day arrives and Susan leaves the producers no choice but to send her home because of the potential stabbing that could’ve come. Francesca isn’t around during Susan’s exit as trains her hypeman abilities. When Francesca does come home, she, Kiyanna & Sayyora screams in joy. Keyaira, Deshayla & Seven decide to confront their other roommates to squash all the problems and agree to be amicable from now on.
Episode High(s): Gives You Wings. Thank you, Red Bull. Apparently someone was charged up on Red Bull or just pure BGC attitude as this episode was just as wild as the last – which seemed to be an impossibility considering what happened last time. You had fights, apologies, more fights, and a peaceful ending that can, in no way shape or form, be indicative of what’s to come in the following episodes.
Episode Low(s): Lowest of Lows. There were some lowdown, dirty moments in this episode that would’ve had any sane person losing their mental stability. First you had Deshayla spitting on Francesca – who, thankfully, was able to stand up & defend herself. Then you had Kiyanna mocking Susan while trying to get sympathy for her own pain. And to top it off, Susan, understandably emotional, didn’t live up to her warning and make Francesca pay for being so reckless with her mouth.
Evictions: Susan (Episode 4)
B**** Counter (songs with the word used in them not counted): 42 times
Fight Counter (opening preview and near-fights not counted): 3
Favorite BG of the Week: Keyaira. Outside of ignoring Kiyanna running around the house trying to figure out what happened to her Red Bulls, Keyaira kept her promise to herself throughout the episode by staying out of fights & arguments as best she could. Not only that, Keyaira tried to be the peacemaker at the end and, though she might fall off in keeping everything civil, as of now she was the only one who was able to keep her cool and try to advance her career.
Pack Yo’ Bags: Kiyanna. The heat has been on Sayyora for three episodes, but Kiyanna took the spotlight as the house’s most susceptible to eviction as she put a target on her back by sideswiping Seven. The thought that she’s a jumper is just as much as a knock against her as picking an argument over death between herself & Susan. So far her fights haven’t visibly ended in her favor and one has to wonder how many times the BGC producers allow for Kiyanna to test her luck.
Episode Summary in Five Words or Less: That’s grounds for a whoopin’.
