The Bad Girls Club Season 17 - Episode 5: Blonde Sided
By James Bullock Mar 16, 2017 - 8:32 AM
Previously on The Bad Girls Club: Following the loss of a family friend, Susan became unstable and was sent home after threatening to cut Francesca after the latter (who also got into a fight with Deshayla during the episode) insulted her – making Susan the first person to be evicted from the house.
Episode 5 – Blonde Sided
After the last episode peace was found between everyone so they wouldn’t lose another original like Susan; opting to spend a day on the beach. Unfortunately for potentially drowning beachgoers in the area, booties were shaking and lifeguards were distracted. But lifeguards aren’t the only ones distracted because Seven and Deshayla have goals in mind – become a DJ and fashion designer respectively – but haven’t been focused on until now. Seven gets the opportunity to take a DJ class in hopes of learning how to scratch. The end result not only gets Seven closer to her goal, but also put some points for the East Coast on the long-forgotten scoreboard (putting it at 51-47 East Coast).
Just when it seems like everything is going well, a simple night at the club ends in an argument between Keyaira and Kiyanna that sees Keyaira pitch her headpiece at Kiyanna and, understandably, sets Kiyanna off. Francesca does a good job blocking Kiyanna from plowing through everyone before the bus stops and Keyaira is taken off their ride. The focus shifts when everyone gets home because the replacement’s picture is up and it turns out another blonde is coming. Of course Keyaira couldn’t care less about a new girl coming as she starts another argument with Kiyanna. While no hands are thrown, the words cut like a hot knife through butter.
The next day arrives and this season’s first replacement makes her debut in the form of Las Vegas native Briana. A child of “Sin City”, Briana is a stripper by night and an apparent money thrower by day as she runs into the house shouting for everyone to wake up while making it rain.
Keyaira gets up with Briana to hopefully have her join the Key side, but Briana is about getting to know her roommates herself before making her decision whether or not she likes someone. While Briana breaks in the house, Deshayla meets up with fashion designer Keyaira is friends with; presenting this lady with her shoe & bra designs in obvious prototype status.
After another peaceful, inspiring day, heading to the club results in another set of problems as Keyaira doesn’t feel like Kiyanna put enough money in for the tip. By the morning, Keyaira is still going off about the tip situation. Another argument breaks out, but both refuse to fight. But Keyaira might have a bigger problem than her constant arguing with Kiyanna because Briana reveals to Sayyora that Keyaira is obviously lobbying to get the new girl on their side for the apparent, impending war. Thankfully for Keyaira, she has the chance to spend some time with her family before heading back to the house. Happy about a good night, Keyaira is all types of loud to the point it annoys Briana to the point she confronts Keyaira.
Seven gets out of bed and follows Briana up to the roof to tell her how disrespectful she was in the way she handled the entire situation and what could happen in the future if she’s not careful.
Episode High(s): Follow Your Dreams. While it’s incredibly fun to watch a bunch of short-tempered women act a complete fool, one must remember the basis of “The Bad Girls Club” was witnessing a group of girls improving themselves and working toward their goals beyond the show. This season is just getting to that point where the women understand the opportunities that are now available thanks to friendships and location. Add that to the fact Keyaira also didn’t forget what makes the series so fun because she just couldn’t stop arguing with people during this episode – speaking of which…
Episode Low(s): It Just Won’t End. While Keyaira definitely had some reasons to be upset during this episode, the level of anger Keyaira produced during this show was rather ridiculous. Every little thing set her off and it was made worse when she vocalized her lack of understanding as to why people were thinking she was a problem maker.

Favorite BG of the Week: Seven. Once again my girl Seven showed both sides of her “bad” demeanor through this episode without acting a complete fool. You had the chill Seven going out, twerking on the beach and working on her DJ skills. Then you had the serious Seven who made sure Briana understood you don’t let Seven’s name come out of your mouth recklessly. And to top it off, Seven didn’t get dragged into the Keyaira-Kiyanna war by arguing, but simply tried to keep the two separate.
Pack Yo’ Bags: Keyaira. Sometimes it’s best to let things go, but Keyaira just doesn’t feel that way as seen throughout this episode. Even her best friends in the house started getting tired of trying to settle a situation blown way out of proportion by Keyaira. There’s a good chance that Key’s verbal actions could turn physical and push her right out of the house.
