The Bad Girls Club Season 17 - Episode 7: Balls to the Wall
By James Bullock Apr 2, 2017 - 10:56 PM
Previously on The Bad Girls Club: All hell broke loose when a simple argument turned into a night of fighting as Briana stepped up & knocked down Francesca for insulting her, Kiyanna standing up for her friend by attacking Sayyora, and promises being made there would be more in the future.
Episode 7 – Balls to the Wall
The next morning arrives and the first thing Francesca does is call her mom to tell her what happened. Kiyanna overhears the conversation and tells her how she defended her daughter with the declaration that it will happen again if someone messes with Fran. Ironically enough it’s Briana who plans a fun activity for everyone where they have to escape a haunted recording studio that is just one giant puzzle. Shockingly, everyone works together without a hitch and get out just in time.
Nothing really changes in the house in terms of people talking & getting along as Sayyora is isolated from her “friends”. A new development arrives between the only crew that has been solid throughout the season thus far as Keyaira & Seven try to convince Deshayla to stand up, speak for herself and not let Key mom her so much. While the west coast girls head out for a first-time evening solely together (which doesn’t end well when “Zaddy” James arrives and doesn’t tip – leaving Keyaira to pick up the slack), the east coast girls stick things in Fran’s mouth.
The west coast girls make it back home and Briana tries to bury the hatchet with Fran after having a conversation to calm down Keyaira after Key thinks she won’t be getting a bottle of patron from “Zaddy” when he comes back to the house. “Zaddy” doesn’t just come packing gifts in the form of alcohol, but also in the form of that…. Well, Seven understands what “Zaddy” has for Sayyora.
The next night arrives and Francesca is given the opportunity to work with an actual band that would her hypeman career. While Fran knocks it out of the park yet again, Deshayla allows her true self to come out as she acts a complete goofball before heading out for some food before encountering a pair of twins that have Deshayla all kinds of flirty. Key is completely caught of guard that Deshayla – the house’s resident lesbian – actually could see herself with a man, and vocalizes that to the point the two have an argument about the situation. Seven proves to be the peacekeeper and, unlike the other arguments seen throughout the season, a peaceful solution is found and the crew is still tight.
It’s all fun & games between the night and the next day as the girls play bubble soccer and Fran plans for her first professional hypeman gig before the gossip starts flying, and Francesca decides she needs to confront Briana about their fight over the fact Briana didn’t attack Sayyora for blocking her from getting a dude’s number. Briana sees the writing on the wall as everyone but Seven and Sayyora surround her to tell her what’s up. When Fran doesn’t run up and fight Briana like she said she was planning to do, Key calls her out for being weak. When Fran states, “I’m not from Compton, Key!” Kiyanna has to get between Francesca and Keyaira to stop the inevitable. Key gets dragged away by Deshayla to the confessional to get out her feelings. While Kiyanna tries to explain why she got between Key & Fran, Francesca decides to bop Briana one (to not-so-satisfying results).
And almost simultaneously, things pop off between Keyaira and Kiyanna as the episode unfortunately ends.
Episode High(s): Going Out With a Bang. Coming off the last episode’s insanity was a shift down in the wildness where the girls just lose their minds for at least one night. But no matter how good everything seemed to be, the episode’s end proved peacefulness just doesn’t work in the Bad Girls Club and produced one memorable cliffhanger.
Episode Low(s): Comparing to the Past. And not that long ago, mind you, because last week’s episode was wall to wall crazy with fights, girls peeing in bottles, and even some retaliation twerking. This week’s show felt tame in comparison until the very end. That doesn’t mean it was a bad episode, but like any high point moment in reality TV, the “cool down” episode always feels disappointing in comparison.

Favorite BG of the Week: Sayyora. Yes, Deshayla finally let her proverbial freak flag fly a little bit, Briana tried to rectify her past beef with Francesca, and Fran stepped up and tried to retaliate for being whooped last time. But that fine Sayyora proved she is a service to the community by not failing to follow the golden rule. “Zaddy” James, no matter how short of a session it was, still got some after giving some. Sayyora, you the real MVP.
Pack Yo’ Bags: Francesca. The girls are staying strong this season and it’s becoming tougher to really think who’s going to go too far or be broken in the process. Seeing Fran pick a retaliatory fight with Briana came across as a wounded warrior trying to make a final stand; and if Briana goes down with her then it was worth it in the end.
Episode Summary in Five Words or Less: Be your true self.
