The Bad Girls Club Season 17 - Episode 8: Swimming with Sharks

Previously on The Bad Girls Club: The girls were getting closer to accomplishing their goals – Seven becoming a DJ and Francesca being a hypeman – but things weren’t all peaceful as the problems between Fran & Briana and Keyaira & Kiyanna ended the episode in the most explosive of fashions.

Episode 8 – Swimming with Sharks

Picking up right where the previous episode left off, two fights are breaking out and security is having the hardest of times trying to stop them. Briana takes a spoil of war by ripping out some of Fran’s hair.

Kiyanna’s anger gets the better of her and the producers are forced to send her to a hotel for the evening. Kiyanna’s not the only one having problems because Sayyora’s mom just runs her down for being “fat”. Seriously, mom, ain’t anything wrong with a little meat on your bones. In some good news, Keyaira not only hears the song she recorded weeks ago, but also gets a chance to practice for her upcoming live performance of the show. Then there’s Francesca actually being a part of a show for the band she practiced with days prior. Fran does her thing.

The next morning arrives and Fran sets up a synchronized swimming class for her & her roommates. But the West Coast girls opt out of the festivities … until the food & drinks start showing up. In a surprising twist, Francesca and Briana actually start getting along. Following Seven practicing her DJ skills, the focus moves to Sayyora, her continuous drinking to the point of either throwing up or literally injuring herself including failing down the stairs & busting her nose. When Keyaira gives her opinion on the situation, she states Briana isn’t a good friend for letting Sayyora get sloppy all the time. Keyaira brings up her feelings to Sayyora on the matter and promised to help empower Sayyora – leading to an apology from Kiyanna to Sayyora for molly-whoping her a few days ago.

But things take a turn for the worse when Keyaira confronts Briana for hurting Sayyora emotionally and potentially physically. Sayyora tells Briana what happened earlier when everyone was having their “Come to Jesus” session; causing Briana to call out Keyaira for getting her information twisted. Seven gets involved in this growing situation, putting out the warning. No hands are thrown, just warnings. Even the next morning it’s more about clarifications and Seven voicing her opinion that it looks weird that they (Kiyanna, Sayyora, Briana & Francesca) are getting along after beating on each other.

Keyaira gets some great news not long after – she will be perform in Las Vegas alongside DJ Seven! Of course the girls flip their lids for the monumental news. But like all things in the BGC house, the fun times don’t last long as a simple question about driving arrangements turns into a situation as Fran doesn’t give an answer to the question about if she could drive so Keyaira could rest up. Seven, nervous and trying to get her practice in, makes sure everyone including Fran knows what could happen if they cross her in the very near future.


Episode High(s): Hard Work Pays Off. Yes, this episode featured a good amount of fighting, arguments, even some twerking after a bit of swimming, but the most inspiring moments were seeing the girls getting closer to accomplishing their overall goals and what could be the basis of their respective careers post-this season. It’ll be interesting to see how well Keyaira & Seven do with their performances during the next episode.

Episode Low(s): Mom Issues. While Sayyora is a grown woman who is solely responsible for her own actions, it’s obvious how much influence her mother has on her to this day (something not unusual for any offspring). Sayyora’s issues and general sloppiness will be on display for the world to see, as well as her mother’s harshness and how it affects her daughter.

Favorite BG of the Week: Seven. Seriously, how many times has Seven put the warning out that if they cross her something will go down in grand fashion and no one other than Kiyanna (from behind, mind you) have tried to test her. Seven seems like a cool chick, but she definitely has an unbeatable aura about her that would scare even the toughest bad girl.

Pack Yo’ Bags: Keyaira. The girls are staying strong this season and it’s becoming tougher to really think who’s going to go too far or be broken in the process. Though she’s on a high from the news of her upcoming Las Vegas performance, Keyaira is itching for a fight and could easily take things too far in the near future against, most likely, Briana.
